Warframe's Empyrean Hotfix 27.0.9 is now live. The amount of changes, fixes, and rebalances is substantial, as Digital Extremes are looking to level things out after Empyrean launches and the Railjack missions are introduced.
Enemy armor values in Railjack missions have been changed, with all fighters having their armor values halved, but with a slight health increase to improve combat feel.
There has been the welcome addition of an avionics market when they drop on missions, which means more fear of missing out if you don't paint every inch of huge levels. All avionics can now be removed from elite fighters in deep space.
Almost all weapons have been rebalanced, so be sure to pay special attention to the “Weapons and Process Adjustments” section. You can find the full list of patch notes below.
Railjack additions, modifications and fixes:
Combatant's armor halved
Enemy fighters in Railjack have too much armor - which means your Railjack weapons don't feel right in the time it takes to kill an enemy. All Hunting Armor values have been halved, with a slight health boost for non-elites to compensate.
Armor value changes:
- Flak: 300 to 150
- Elite Flak: 350 to 175
- Taktis: 250 to 125
- Elite Taktis: 350 to 175
- Cutter: 250 to 125
- Elite Cutter: 300 to 150
- Outrider: 800 to 300
- Elite Outrider: 800 to 400
Health value changes:
- Flak Health: 250 to 375
- Taktis Health: 200 to 300
- Cutting health: 200 to 300
All Battle Avionics are now potential drops from Elite fighters in Deep Space. Plus, with the new permanent markers on Avionics, you'll now make sure none go unclaimed, because you'll see them!
The scarcity of Combat Avionics was exacerbated by the units they pounced on - adding Drops to Elite Fighters should increase your chances of acquiring one. We want to see the effects of these further declines before we make any further changes.

Weapon and proc adjustments:
The idea of one type of damage to rule them all is one we want to avoid at the start of Railjack. We rebalance aspects of certain damage types to ensure balanced choices. The armor changes at the same time that means it's a combined effort to find the right spot for all damage types, not just a boss. Please stay with us as we navigate this particular space - with your help, I hope everyone can use their favorites from their arsenal!
- Decreased the efficiency of the particle process but increased its duration
- Reduced to 7,5% damage bonus per hit, still stacks and lasts for 20 seconds. The exponential growth and short duration meant it was much more beneficial for rapid-fire cannons than anything else.
- Increase in the efficiency of the incendiary process but decrease in its duration
- Double the damage per tick but half the duration; same total damage but in less time to feel more relevant.
- Pulsar Series
- Increased base damage
- Increased drop range
- These extremely precise weapons struggled to compete with the other options available. Increasing damage by around 10% and increasing effective range should help give them a more viable role.
- Photor Series
- Increased drop range
- Additional range and these also benefit indirectly from the improved incendiary status.
- Increased drop range
- Cryophon Series
- Reduced damage and increased fall range
- Reducing enemy armor values made them able to kill all enemies in one hit, bringing them down to the scheduled kill time. Please keep in mind that we are actively monitoring player stats and collecting feedback, and are ready to repeat the balance.
- Reduced damage and increased fall range
- Zetki House
- Reduced heat build-up for all Zetki weapon variants except Cryophon
- This house trades more heat for more damage, but it felt like it was TOO hot for the amount of extra damage you took. Compared to base weapons, Zetki now provides 50% more damage for Double Heat instead of Quadruple Heat.
- Reduced heat build-up for all Zetki weapon variants except Cryophon
Rush Repair Drone withdrawn from the market:
We are removing the ability to purchase the Rush Repair Drone and only leave it as a reward earned at the end of the mission (plus a drop in the world due to safety concerns). We do this based on the comments that as a buy option, it seems too unfair of a benefit. Although it technically respects our rule of "pay for time", it bypasses a huge segment of the value of resources.
