Our test with the Logitech G435 Lightspeed gaming headset
The first aspect that immediately catches the eye are the bright colors and the incredible the packaging, simple but still effective. The USB-C to USB-A charging cable and LIGHTSPEED wireless USB-A receiver are both stored in one small cardboard box e wrapped in recycled paper.
After taking the headphones out of their stand box and being overwhelmed by these colors, the second element that catches the eye - or touch - is the incredible lightness of the Logitech G435 and softness of the ear pads. The fabric and memory foam pads are incredibly soft and fit snugly shape of your head.
As a gaming headset, the first place we tried them was our PlayStation 4, precisely with Horizon Zero Dawn. We were completely blown away by the quality of the audio, really exceptional. Also the bass is incredible and no matter how many times our mother called us, all our ears heard were i heavy footsteps of the Thunder devourer ready to attack us.
Our second test took place on PC, with Netflix, YouTube and even Discord, to test the built-in microphones. The result? Amazing. Thanks to the Lightspeed wireless USB receiver, it's very simple connect the headphones to our PC. All you have to keep in mind is, of course, to change the various settings of your device - the rest will come by itself.
On both YouTube and Netflix and Discord, the Logitech G435 Lightspeed headphones they didn't let us down. In particular we would like to emphasize the high quality built-in microphones: During the Discord call our friends complimented us, stating how good our voice was understandable e clean.
However, for an entire afternoon, our experience was anything but plain sailing. Despite the problem encountered were it not headphones, we still want to highlight it so that we can help anyone who might find themselves in a similar situation. Suddenly, during yet another Discord call of the day, the audio started to croak.
It was as if there was interference. At first we thought it was a platform problem, so we have restarted the program. However, the problem persisted. We then did the test of 9, checking if YouTube and Netflix also offered that noisy audio: the answer is yes.
After making some PC updates and placing the Lightspeed receiver directly on one USB port of our PC (and not a mini extension cable), the problem has finally disappeared. From that moment on we no longer had any kind of problem, the audio is back to being crystal clear like the first time.
When it comes to battery life, we are extremely satisfied. Sometimes headphones they even exceeded the pre-established 18 hours and although they were almost empty, the quality of the audio it still remained high. The range of action is also excellent, we could easily move around some areas of the house without saying goodbye to quality.
We conclude with an aspect that made our experience even more surprising. Our work forces us to spend many hours in front of the PC. For this reason we wear glasses to avoid coming to the end of the day with a headache.
Until now we have always used classic earphones because headphones of this type pushed the temples of the glasses to the temples, causing pain and discomfort. Thanks to the Logitech G435 Lightspeed gaming headset, this problem has completely disappeared. The headphones are so comfortable and light that it almost felt like you were not wearing them.
