Realme 7 Pro review
Realme 7 Pro it is not the first smartphone of the Chinese company that comes under our clutches. In the last year and a half we have had the opportunity to try out different Realme devices and it is now clear that they are all accompanied by the same philosophy: to bring captivating devices to the market that do not require major outlays.
Realme 7 Pro is no exception. We talk about it in this review.
A great 60Hz display
The design of Realme 7 Pro offers no particular surprises. On the front we have a 6,4 inch display with the small hole in the left corner, naturally dedicated to the front camera, and reduced edges. No 90 or 120 Hz but the Super AMOLED panel still gives us a good user experience. The colors are natural and bright, the blacks are quite deep and the brightness is excellent.
We also point out the possibility of activating theAlways-on Display, which shows date and time, battery status and notifications received, and to select temperature and color mode to adapt the screen to your needs and tastes.
Moving to the back we find instead the raised module that houses 4 different sensors while on the sides we have the power button, the volume rocker, the trolley for the SIM, the speaker and obviously the USB-C connector for charging. What is surprising is the presence of the jack from 3,5 mm: now a real rarity on smartphones of 2020.
And the materials? Realme 7 Pro comes with a polycarbonate body while on the front we find the Gorilla Glass 3. All this translates into a rather light device - 182 grams - and resistant to scratches. Good then the general ergonomics. The dimensions are in fact quite small and you will not have great difficulty in managing most of the features with one hand.
Realme 7 Pro review: charging at 65W
With its Snapdragon 720G and 8 GB of RAM you really do it all. In the last few days we have used Realme 7 Pro for video calls, to play games, to surf the net, to check emails and to watch video content on most of the platforms currently available in Italy. None of this upset him. There are no slowdowns or moments of panic but above all we have not felt the lack of more powerful hardware like that offered by the top of the range.
Also on the connectivity front we have everything a user needs on average. There is WiFi (ac, not 6), there is 4G connectivity (no 5G), there is Bluetooth 5.1 and NFC for digital payments, as well as GPS, Beidou, Glonass and NavIC.
We also have a fingerprint sensor under the display really fast, which can be joined by the unlock with the face to further speed up operations.
The stereo sound is also good but the real surprise is the autonomy. The 4.500mAh battery allowed us to cover almost 36 hours with moderate use while in the most stressful and demanding days we reach the end of the day without difficulty.
To complete the picture, the 65W fast charging takes care of it. In fact, in just over 30 minutes it goes from 0 to 100%. Of course, using only the power supply and the cable included in the package.

The Realme UI 1.0
Realme 7 Pro mounted the Realme UI 1.0, based on Android 10 and updated with the August patches.
This is a slightly revised version of Oppo's ColorOS and, just like her, divides opinions a bit. There are those who appreciate it, those who prefer more stock solutions and those who love more invasive interfaces. On balance, the one proposed by Realme is certainly a different solution from Android stock but still well finished.
To accompany it then we find some interesting features such as the programmable dark mode, one-handed operation and the smart sidebar that allows you to quickly access a variety of apps that you can choose manually.
In short, she really doesn't miss anything.
Realme 7 Pro review: the photographic sector
The photographic sector of Realme 7 Pro is rather article. On the back in fact we have 4 sensors:
- the main one, from 64 MP F / 1.8
- ultragrandangolare, da 8 MP
- the 2 MP fixed focus macro, which requires a distance of 4 cm from the subject
- the 2 MP monochrome camera
Finally we have a front camera, set in the small hole, of 32 MP.
As often happens, there are only three lenses that are truly usable in everyday life. Macro and monochrome camera in fact mainly serve to enrich the technical data sheet but their results are really unconvincing.
Instead, the main sensor that manages to bring home behaves discreetly good shots, albeit not particularly surprising. But pay attention to the lighting conditions: in the most difficult situations Realme 7 Pro struggles a little and tends to overexpose the images. It's not great at night either. When the light goes down, the noise increases and the night mode is not enough to eliminate it.
Finally, the wide angle and the front camera that bring home the shot, but nothing more, are discreet.
