It was fitted with Cherry MX Blue mechanical switches, had a complete layout and a very long and very heavy wire. Now, after 7 long years, I can get my hands on the same keyboard again, but in a modern way. The brand has, in fact, launched the brand new tastiera gaming Razer Blackwidow V3 Pro wireless. Yes, a rich new product completely wireless. The model can be used via technology Hyperspeed wireless 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth, or with the cable.
The design and features of the BlackWidow Elite 2018 now combine with the convenience of a wireless model. Will Razer be able to bring a functional, efficient and effective product to the market? The price is certainly not the lowest (it varies between € 250 and € 300), is it really worth it? Let's find out with our review.

Let's start from its strong point: wireless
Without too much delay, let's start immediately from the highlight of this product: wireless. Because yes, however beautiful, solid and full-bodied it may be, the Razer BlackWidow V3 Pro wireless is all about wireless functionality. This is, therefore, the aspect we have focused on the most ei results were amazing. The gaming keyboard from Razer offers two possible wireless connections, wireless 2.4 GHz e Bluetooth, and one wired. The first happens thanks to a USB dongle included in the keyboard itself. The cable, on the other hand, offers a connection USB Type-C to the product and a classic USB to the PC. The same also applies to the recharge: the battery is inside the device and is recharged simply by connecting it to the computer. Charging does not compromise its use.
Speaking of operation, in general we found each other really very good. We tested the keyboard in writing and gaming and the results were excellent. The Bluetooth connection, of course, is dedicated to writing and office use, while the Hyperspeed wireless technology is dedicated to gaming. Using the latter we have never encountered any problems with input lag, delays or interference. Furthermore, our workstation provides for the use of multiple wireless devices (headphones, mouse and keyboard) yet no interference appears to have been recorded. 
How does the Razer BlackWidow V3 Pro wireless work in game?
By focusing on use in game, The Razer BlackWidow V3 Pro wireless was really great. We have exploited the Hyperspeed technology which should, according to the manufacturer, guarantee the 25% faster than to competitors. Unfortunately, it was not possible for us to make a direct comparison, but we compared it with other wired models. The answers were excellent, precise and fast.
We took to the Call of Duty battlefield, explored the worlds of Destiny 2, rode dinosaurs in Ark. We have tried to test the device on many different games and it has never happened to have any problems. No interference has ever been found, never had any delays in pressing the controls. Even in fast-paced shooters, where even the thousandths are important, we were able to handle the situation as best we could. Also excellent is the constitution of the keyboard which, between weight and textured keys, have allowed us to always have everything firmly in position.
But how long does the battery last? And how much does the decrease compromise its use?
To conclude our discussion on the wireless system, it is necessary to do a little focus on battery. As mentioned this is located inside our Razer BlackWidow V3 Pro wireless keyboard and it comes recharged by wire. Within the brand's website it is stated that the product is in able to withstand up to 192 hours without lighting. Those who buy such a keyboard, however, do not want it without RGB LEDs.
Therefore our test was done precisely with the ignition of the same. 100% loaded we took it to exhaustion with i LEDs set to 23% (which I can assure you are already bright enough). Well, so configured, the keyboard he resisted, without turning off, 85 / 86 hours (about 8/10 days).
What happened to hers operating at the lowest percentages? The keyboard wore out slowly, without suddenly turning off, with a fairly regular battery drop. Its operation has always been the same, precise and punctual, except towards the 4-5% charge. At this juncture, in fact, he began to miss a few strokes and the reaction was less imminent. At the press of a button it took 1/2 seconds to see the actual response.

La Razer BlackWidow V3 Pro wireless may be equipped with green mechanical tactile switches or with i linear yellow. These are meant for play, they have one shortest stroke and are more silent. In detail, they have an actuation force of 45g, an activation distance of 1,2mm and a total stroke of 3,5mm. The version we tested monta switch verdi, more suitable for writing.
In detail, the Razer home switches have a total stroke of 4 mm, an activation distance of 1,9 mm and one strength of 50 g. I am therefore slightly faster and "easier" to press than the classic Cherry MX Blue, which instead have an activation force of 60 g and an activation distance of 2,2 mm. Auditory level they are very similar: yes it is clicky and therefore the noise is just that of a typewriter. In terms of pressure, however, there is a slight difference. You feel that they need less force to be pressed and the lift is also slightly different.
As regards the noise, that's enough strong, but not too metallic. It is heard when the button reaches the trigger point, a metallic note is heard, but the return of the keystroke is not. Sure, it's not suitable for an open-plan office, but if you like the sound of mechanical keys, it's the thing for you.
The combination of the ABS switches and keycaps is fantastic. The beating is solid and full-bodied and you immediately feel that you are dealing with a quality object. 
Razer Blackwidow V3 Pro wireless: aesthetics that matter
After giving weight to the more technical and functional part, it's time to give one look also at aesthetics. The The Razer BlackWidow V3 Pro wireless inherits a lot from the BlackWidow Elite, both in shape and size. It is a product with a layout completo, from 104 tatsi, currently available only in version of US. As for the size we have 44,4 x 16,5 x 4,2 cm for a weight of 1,1 Kg. To the depth, the about 9 cm of the wrist rest must also be added, if you decide to use it. It is, therefore, a fairly bulky product, with the numeric keypad, not comfortable to carry around, but certainly very stable. 
The keys are well positioned and distant from each other just enough to provide and ensure excellent typing. The sensation of pressure is also good, not only thanks to the mechanical switches, but also thanks to the key covers. These are made with manufacturing technology doubleshot ABS. They are very resistant to the touch and slightly raised so as to let the light shine not only on the letters, but also on the base of the keyboard itself. The plate isInstead, made of aluminum.
Aesthetically, the keyboard is very sober, it has a classic font for the letters, one completely black coloring and RGB LED lighting fully manageable via Synapse software. There are no particular symbols, except the Razer logo in the center, on the lower part of the plate. This is always lit with RGB LEDs, but its transparent cover is not smooth. It feels rough to the touch and even the image below appears "grainy". Surely this plastic was chosen so that it does not get damaged or scratched once the palm rest is placed on it. 
There is no shortage of multimedia keys
On the right sideThere are also gods above the numeric keypad multimedia buttons. We have three with pressure and one with the double function, pressure and wheel. The first three are dedicated to reproduction: back, forward, pause / start. There rollerinstead, it has the function of adjust the volume; pressing him also mutes the microphone.
The wheel protrudes slightly from the edge and, personally, I found it a bit awkward in play. This is because I often touched with my hand and varied the volume. Fortunately, through the management software, it is possible to disable the keys when we deem it most appropriate.
On the on the left side there is the switch on / off button. It is a small switch that can move between BT, shutdown and wireless. This is particularly hard and not too comfortable, but it still works well. 
Wrist rest
To conclude, let's briefly focus on the wrist rests. This has quite small dimensions, it is completely black, has a plastic base, a soft padding and a faux leather cover. This has, in the center, the Razer logo, simply branded.
Keyboard and palm rest are not anchored to each other, not even through a magnetic coupling. The two edges (front of the keyboard and rear of the palm rest) are however inclined, so as to be able to use the parts in a complementary way. Then there are excellent rubber pads on the back that give perfect friction for all circumstances.
La The Razer BlackWidow V3 Pro wireless can also be adjusted in height with two different inclinations, in addition to the basic one. The back has the compartment for the dongle (which will be inserted into the PC) and rubber pads for friction. 
All managed thanks to Razer Synapse
As with other brand peripherals, the Razer BlackWidow V3 Pro wireless is managed through Razer Synapse software. It is a very simple and intuitive program that allows 360-degree management of the peripheral.
Through the software we can customize the entire sector related to lighting. We can decide intensity of color, effect and speed. Simple, practical, not at all difficult to understand. The lighting tab opens and the parameters that interest us are modified.
Synapse, however, allows us to manage the peripheral even more thoroughly. In addition to always having an idea of the percentage of battery left, we will also be able to modify the keys themselves. We can disable some buttons, we can invert the keys or assign real functions to them. Furthermore, we can also activate the gaming mode which allows us to automatically deactivate some keys (such as the Windows one) when we are in the game. 
Who is this wireless Razer BlackWidow V3 Pro really aimed at?
La The Razer BlackWidow V3 Pro wireless is a great keyboard in many ways, although it has flaws. It definitely wins strong over wireless and its price is in line with other wireless gaming models. The problem, however, is that the figure remains high, indeed, very high. It doesn't even come close to a great wired model.
The strength is the wireless, of course. The keyboard performs very well: it has no delays, no lag, it is always precise and punctual. There is no interference to disturb you and the convenience of wireless is, at times, priceless. However, there are flaws in all of this: like the charging system. Because, unfortunately, wire is still essential to charge the keyboard. It would have been much better to have, for example, an induction mat that could recharge the keyboard.
It is a solid and performing product, which loses its thread, but not its quality. Excellent 2.4 GHz wireless connection, excellent mechanical switches, perfect composition. In short, a product of excellent workmanship, without any criticism in terms of construction or operation, but definitely expensive.
