We have therefore selected the best wireless mice to accompany your desktop computer and those that will delight your laptop PC, whether it's Windows or macOS, or your Android tablet or iPad.
We targeted two uses: the best mice for working in front of a desk and the best for traveling. Logitech MX Master 3: our recommendation
Extract from Numerama's video
The last born of Logitech mice, the MX Master 3 is the Rolls of field mice. Thus, despite its large dimensions, it weighs only 141 g and is easy to transport. Its overweight allows it to offer unparalleled ergonomics. Each of the 7 programmable buttons is accessible with a finger movement and its comfort allows it to be used for hours at a time without tiring.
We like its magnetic wheel which is sometimes free, sometimes notched according to the scrolling speed. USB charging is remarkable: three minutes is enough for 24 hours of battery life. It also has a thumb rest and a side scroll wheel. It's a purchase you won't regret, even if it isn't cheap. It is available for less than 110 euros.
The Logitech MX Master 3 at a glance:
- Efficient and precise on the move and in a sedentary environment
- Ergonomics and presence of 7 programmable buttons
- Thumb rest and side wheel
MX Master: If you want to save money
If that's a bit pricey for you, Logitech still sells the first MX Master in the name for a few tens of dollars less. Reserved for Amazon, this version benefits from very interesting regular promotions.

Logitech MX Vertical: ergonomic
Extract from Numerama's video
Although not very mobile with extraordinary dimensions, this Logitech mouse is nevertheless quite light with a weight of 135 g. The MX Vertical is designed for those who work intensely with a mouse or who really want to spare their wrist joints. Thus, this vertical mouse reduces tension in the forearm and wrist by naturally realigning your hand to 60 °.
A particularly ergonomic and comfortable architecture over time. Charging is done through a USB-C port which gives 24 hours of autonomy in three minutes of charging. However, it does require some adaptation time to get used to this very special position. It is available for less than 100 euros on Amazon.
The Logitech MX Vertical and brief:
- Comfortable and designed to avoid tension in the forearm and wrist
- Ideal for long term use
- Very good battery life + rechargeable by USB-C
Logitech MX Ergo: the best trackball
We thought the trackballs relegated to the annals of computing, but Logitech had the rich idea to bring them up to date with the MX Ergo. MX series requires we find an impeccable finish and connectivity that leaves us the choice between the supplied dongle or Bluetooth.
Note that you can be connected to two devices at the same time and switch from one to the other with the push of a button.
The trackball itself is very precise and of course uses an optical sensor. For jobs requiring even more precision, there is a button to change DPI on the fly. The return to a ball, however, brings back concerns that we had forgotten for a long time: it will thus be necessary to remove the ball to clean the mouse very regularly, because the latter becomes clogged quickly. The autonomy is excellent and easily exceeds two months on a charge.
If it takes a little time to acclimatize, the MX Ergo is very pleasant to use on a daily basis and frankly limits muscle and joint fatigue.

Wireless mice for on the go
Logitech MX Anywhere 3: the most versatile
Logitech takes care of the design of its products and proves it once again here. The MX Anywhere 3 also allows itself to be robust and very ergonomic. It perfectly follows the curves of the hand while being very compact and light (99 grams).
Main change compared to the previous version: the adoption of the same magnetic dial as on the MX Master 3. In addition to being extremely comfortable in use, the latter is very resistant. We also have two additional programmable buttons on the side. Finally, we welcome an autonomy of 70 days and in the event of fuel failure, one minute of charge gives 3 hours of use. It will cost you 85 euros.
The Logitech MX Anywhere 3 at a glance:
- Design, robust and comfortable
- Ergonomics
- Precision
- Excellent autonomy
MX Master Anywhere 2: save money
As for the classic MX Master Logitech offers an “Amazon” version of the MX Master Anywhere 2. We lose the magnetic dial, but the price is down sharply and above all it is regularly on sale.

Extract from Numerama's video
With an elegant and minimalist design, this mouse has style and is available in three colors (Platinum, Cobalt Blue and Bordeaux). It is comfortable, but being rather flat, it tends to tire the wrist in the long run. It offers two buttons and a rather fluid wheel, but which sometimes lacks precision. It is very nomadic with its 78 g.
We regret that the magnetic cover that holds the battery comes off easily and ends up wandering around in your bag. Let's add that an AAA battery is enough to power it for a good dozen months of autonomy. Unlike the other mice in this selection which connect either via a dongle or via Bluetooth, it only works in Bluetooth. At less than 30 euros, this is the best value for money of our selection.

- Minimalist and elegant design
- Very flat
- Autonomy of almost a year
Razer Atheris: for mobile gamers
Extract from Numerama's video
The Razer Atheris is a very nice mouse with a very pleasant color and mat feel. She is quite nomadic with her 120 g on the scale. The icing on the cake, it benefits from an ambidextrous design that is as rare as it is pleasant for those concerned. It is also one of the most precise on the market: here we find Razer's know-how in gaming.
It will be ideal for playing or simply doing precise photo retouching. Note that it works great on glass surfaces. Unlike its competitor Logitech, no USB charging: 2 AA batteries are needed to power it for an advertised autonomy of only 350 hours. It is available for less than 50 euros.
The Razer Atheris in brief:
- Ambidextrous design
- High precision for gaming
- Very nice matte look
Magic Trackpad 2: the best companion for the iPad
With the arrival of iPad OS 13.4, Apple's Magic Trackpad is also an excellent solution to accompany your iPad. It will allow you to take advantage of many interactions allowed by its support. This is particularly useful for taking advantage of multitouch gestures such as returning to the home screen, switching from one application to another or using the buttons.
If we recommend it especially for the iPad, nothing prevents you on the other hand from using it with a desktop computer.
You can find it for around 130 euros on Amazon.

Choosing the right Bluetooth wireless mouse
Mobile or sedentary wireless mouse, how to choose?
In reality, it's pretty straightforward: if you want an extra mouse to work with when you're on the go, go with a nomadic mouse. That is to say a product with a low weight and a small footprint.
At home, being overweight is less of a problem. In general, this allows you to take advantage of a nice surface to comfortably place your palm and fingers. But that is not enough, the lines must match the shape of the hand. Finally, some mice incorporate additional programmable buttons.
What are the important points to check before buying?
We recommend to favor battery-powered models, it is generally easier to find something to recharge the battery than to buy batteries, especially for a nomadic mouse. Unfortunately, the latter use batteries more readily, it is cheaper, and it also saves in size. Finally, prefer products that work on a glass surface. On the go, you never know what kind of desk you'll have on hand.
What are the trusted brands?
Several brands are fighting in the wireless mouse market. The most famous is Logitech, which has a great history and has had very few hiccups. The preponderance of the brand in our guide to the best wireless mice shows this very well. Computer manufacturers usually offer quality peripherals as well. This is particularly the case with Microsoft or Apple. In the more niche segment of gaming mice, Razer is also well known.
