It took about three years before the product hit the market, the November 19 2007. It sold out in minutes and it took several months for it to become available again. This first Kindle offered around 250MB of memory (expandable) and a keyboard at the bottom. This model was not marketed outside the United States. International expansion came only in the 2009, with the second generation of the product.
Over the years, several new versions of Kindle arrived on the market. Particularly significant was the fourth generation of 2011, which abandoned the keyboard, introduced the first touch models and above all (at least for us) it was the first to arrive in Italy as well. To date, there are three models in the range. In addition to the basic version of Kindle They are also available Paperwhite e Oasis.
Its success was fundamental to affirm the spread of digital reading and it is easy to predict that it will continue in the future.
