How to unlock the final secret boss and the ending
- How to get the secret ending: Collect all 100 glasses then start the final battle against Giga Bowser.
Getting the shiny 100 isn't too difficult. Use the guides above to get all the brilliants in the levels - the other delicate brilliants are related to the lost toads et chatons. Check out the guides linked above for their locations.

If not, all shines will be marked on your card. hurry[[-] to see and navigate to all of the Shine locations. If you can't reach them, you may have to wait for Giga Bowser to spawn for a path to form.
After getting the credits once, the new Lucky Shine Island will appear whenever Giga Bowser spawns - the island is shiny gold and appears in one of many places. Check your map when Giga Bowser attacks and the location will be illuminated. Usually you will need to use a ramp to reach the island. There are 5 brilliants on the island, and they disappear every time you collect a shard. Collect all 5 to complete this mini-event - you'll have to visit the island (and its random location) 5 times.
If you are unsure of the bonus rooms, be sure to defeat all enemies when you ride a cloud and collect a star. If you beat all the enemies on the way to the end of the bonus stage, you will get a shard.
After completing the game, new Plessie medals will appear. To get them you will have to follow the medals that appear - you will also have to jump from Plessie and go up in pursuit of the medals. Don't worry about staying with Plessie! Another will always be available to follow your path.
What is The Secret Final Boss & Ending?
Get 100% shine and Bowser will change shape. You will have to fight with White haired bowser! The final boss in both forms is much more powerful - Giga Bowser has a full HP bar, so you'll often have to use those big blocks of fury to knock him out.
The final phase is ridiculously hard. You are going to be damaged by gigantic beams and other attacks, so bring at least +3 power-ups and use them whenever you are about to be defeated.
Otherwise, this ending is (basically) the same as before. You beat Bowser, but for real this time! He stays ashore, and Bowser Jr. draws you a special little painting to commemorate your time together.
