Disney + lancia Star, the new brand that expands the Disney streaming offer with TV series and films designed for an adult audience. They arrive 249 new movies and 42 TV series (of which 5 originals), with many other innovations arriving during the year (including three new Italian series). But not only that: Star also adds a function of parental Control so you can be sure that children in the house only watch appropriate content.

Disney + had an amazing first year, coming to the homes of 95 millions of subscribers worldwide. But Mickey's streaming platform aims even higher and wants to broaden its audience. Self The Mandalorian e WandaVision have enchanted fans of Star Wars and Marvel, now he wants to aim to offer products designed for adults: thrillers, dramas, irreverent comedies and much more.
What is Star
Star is not a new streaming service. Instead, it is the sixth Disney + brand after Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel e National Geographic. To understand: at the top of the Disney + homepage from February 23 one appears new icon, a channel dedicated to the greatest.
Within this new label appear many productions of Fox, ABC, Searchlight, and more. At launch there are 42 series (5 originals) and 249 films but by the end of 2021 you will find 400 films and up to 6000 episodes of TV series.
Price change
This new addition has convinced Disney to raise the cost of the subscription. From tomorrow February 23 2021 the Disney + subscription goes from 6,99 euros per month (or 69,99 euros per year) a 8,99 per month (o 89,90 euro per year). The increase does not take place for subscriptions in progress: if you have made an annual subscription before February 23, it remains valid until expiry and will then be renewed for another year at the same cost.
We point out that this is a Disney + price change, not the cost of Star itself: whether or not you watch this new channel, the increase is there.
parental Control
In the new Disney + channel comes TV series and movies that are not appropriate for the little ones. If before the streaming platform was limited to having a session dedicated to the very small, now it inserts a parental Control to prevent children from seeing violent or explicit content.
In your account you can limit viewing of content based on age of the various profiles: You can choose to block content that is not suitable for those under 6, 9, 12, 14, 16 and 18 years old. You can also enter a PIN to block and profiles +18, so that children and teens do not use another profile to access inappropriate content.

- Big Sky, by David E. Kelly (Big Little Lies), a thriller that begins with the disappearance of two girls along a remote Montana road.

- Helstrom, Marvel series that tells the story of two brothers sons of a serial killer, who try to bring justice in a way full of demonic forces.
Over the course of the year, three original Italian series arrive. There is the fourth season of Boris, the series with female protagonists fighting the 'Ndrangheta The Good Mothers e The Ignorant Fairies by Ferzan Ozpetek. And then French, German and Dutch news.
