Like any self-respecting fitness tracker, Samsung Galaxy Fit 2 is super compact and extremely light. With his 21 grams and dimensions of 46,6 x 18,6 x 11,1 mm, you will hardly notice that you are wearing this fitness band, day or night.
No sacrifices though: the build quality is excellent, il rubber strap it is very soft and the display is a 1,1 inch AMOLED with resolution 294 x 126 pixels. The first step to make any fitness tracker work, as always, is pairing with the smartphone. You can use any phone but be aware that the process is much faster with a Samsung device. Not just because one of the two required apps - Samsung health - it is already pre-installed, but because the smartphone immediately recognizes the Galaxy Fit 2, even before opening the second app necessary for its operation, that is Galaxy Wearable.
This obviously does not mean that pairing the product with a phone from another manufacturer is difficult. The steps remain mostly the same. In fact, it is enough for you:
- open the last named application, namely Galaxy Wearable;
- click on Connect new device;
- follow the very few instructions on the screen.
In a couple of minutes you will be up and running, both with Android and iOS smartphones.
The Galaxy Wearable app isn't just for product setup. From here you can see the battery level, change the settings, activate the reception of notifications you actually need and more. Among the most interesting features we find hand washing reminders, the Goodnight mode to disable anything that can disturb your sleep and the possibility of add, remove and reorder widgets that correspond to the screens on the smartband.
How to navigate between the various features
But how to see the various screens? LNavigating the Galaxy Fit 2 is elementary. With some swipe to the left you can see all your widgets and activate training tracking, stress detection and any other features you have added from the app. One swipe a destra instead it takes you back to the notifications you can read that you can respond to.
In fact, using Galaxy Wearable you can set a series of predefined responses that do not require the use of a smartphone. It sounds like a pretty traditional option but in reality not all smart bracelets allow you to do this and in the long run you will start to find it particularly comfortable.

Compared to the competition then customization is almost extreme, thanks to a software that does not impose anything but, on the contrary, allows the user to configure the product according to your goals and needs.
The disadvantage compared to other fitness bands and similar products is the dependence on two applications. It would not be bad to have some statistics within Galaxy Wearable and then leave any insights to Samsung Health.
The question now is only one: the Samsung Galaxy Fit 2 smartband is worth i 49 € required for purchase? Definitely yes. It is true that you can buy other smart bracelets at a lower price, but in that case you will hardly have an equally refined and versatile product.
