".
Choosing the card isn't easy, particularly as although branded versions have been announced, Nvidia's partners haven't released many technical specifications regarding their products. For the moment we know its features and colors, but we still know very little about it. We, for example, were very impressed with the design of EVGA, which stands out a lot from its competitors. The Asus, on the other hand, remains quite sober, unlike in the past, while the Palit is the exact opposite, full of LEDs, colors and zero sobriety.

What to choose? RTX 3080, 3090, 3070 Founders Edition or Custom?
Now let's try to answer the most common question, the one that all users ask themselves when a new GeForce series is released: "What is the best choice between an RTX 3080 Founders Edition and a branded one? ”.
Analyzing the design of the GeForce RTX 30 Series Founders Edition we cannot denigrate it, indeed, quite the opposite. It is about a fluid composition, with a good flow of air, sober and clean. We don't have too square edges, no aggressive lines, but fairly smooth curves. These are certainly impressive and bulky cards, but still functional. The dissipation system, for traditional use, it seems good and fits most air-flows in traditional chassis. Of course, for those who want to show the card a little more, maybe in upright position, then perhaps this would not be the most appropriate choice, but it would be more suitable to move to a custom product.
Another important issue is that related to prices and features. Unfortunately, at the moment, we don't have too many details, although the launch is close. The base price of the cards is very attractive: let's start from one RTX 3070 with a recommended price of $ 499, an RTX 3080 with $ 699 and a very powerful RTX 3090 with a base of $ 1499. A good design, a good dissipation, excellent performance for a not excessive price. So if we're not interested in a different aesthetic, why not jump right into the Founders? Of course for the features.
As we all know, in fact, many custom versions they will come with a factory Overclock. What does it mean? It means that their technical specifications will report gods more stringent values than the versions of mother Nvidia. The game is worth the candle? Let's try to go into detail.

Compared to the Founders, the custom versions they promise more features for slightly higher prices. From the Asus home we see, for example, one STRIX RTX 3090 reach a base price of £ 1569, about $ 225 more than the base Nvidia versions. In this case, factory overclocking and therefore slightly higher performance are promised. Surely, then, we can expect liquid versions with prices as high as 2000 $. The prices are indicative and we must hope that, in our country, they keep the simple dollar / euro conversion. In any case we can expect a difference ranging from 150 to 300 € for versions with OC.
Therefore, those who want spend as little as possible, despite having a product with excellent characteristics, they should have no doubts about the choice: Founders Edition. But what if we told you that some Customs might cost less than the Reference versions? Well, Palit, for example, appears to have launched a non-OC version of the RTX 3070 priced about $ 20 lower than the Founders. Quite smart solution for a brand that wants to consolidate more and more and that will certainly be stormed by users who are more attentive to savings. 
Pay attention to availability
Another important detail to consider when choosing is also the availability factor. Nvidia confirmed that Stocks of the new Nvidia GeForce Ampere RTX 30 Series will be slightly limited at launch. This could mean an end of stocks in the short term; the term could arrive first in Nvidia's stocks and later in the homes of third-party partners. The more a company is good at restocking its warehouses, the more attractive its solutions will be.
They could therefore also arrive discounts, bundles and interesting solutions to grab some extra users. The tip of the balance, at this point, could fall precisely on the brands. 
Is the choice made? We get this RTX 3080 Founders Edition?
In light of all the considerations made, what is better to choose? It depends on your needs and demands. Personally I feel like recommend a Reference model to those who are not particularly interested in displaying the GPU. Those aiming for a functional card, with good air-flow in a conventional chassis, who don't need to have even more performance, have found their model.
If, on the other hand, you are inclined to more showy configurations, if you are looking for a model that can be positioned vertically and if you want to aim for the best possible performance, then the choice is to switch to the custom versions.
If then this will be felt in play or if the temperatures will change considerably, we still do not know, the exit, however, is very close.
