Capcom has officially released the Resident Evil Village demo, the highly anticipated eighth chapter of the software house's horror saga. The trial version is available on Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Stadia and Steam. Capcom has decided to limit players to 60 minutes of total play but there are already some Steam users who have managed to get around this block.
Resident Evil Village: how to reset the demo
Console and Stadia players have no choice but to go along with the time limit imposed by Capcom, but Steam users, apparently, have access to a ploy to reset the demo time limit. First it will be necessary disable Steam Cloud for the RE Village demo and download the Steam Achievement Manager.
Once this is done we will have to go to the deletion of the local save data, start the Steam Achievement Manager, select the Residente Evil 8 demo and remove the achivements and stats. Once this is done, the timer of the demo will be reset and it will be possible replay the two maps available with all 60 minutes available.
The RE Village demo allows you to explore two exclusive locations of the game, the castle and the village, where you can face the aggressors werewolves, who will attack us from the tall grass, and breathe the gothic atmosphere of a Romani that seems straight out of a Van Helsing novel.
This trial version of the game was initially only running for 24 hours, but following requests from the Capcom community, it extended it for the whole week. More than enough time for Steam players to reveal every secret of this trial version, thanks to the game timer reset.
Anyway, Resident Evil Village has recently also been the subject of a leak and a few days ago it was even broken on day one. If you want to have a completely virgin experience we advise you to pay attention to any spoilers that are surely already circulating on the web.
