In this review we will go to the discovery of Redmi Note 10 5G. In fact, we had the opportunity to test the new device launched by Xiaomi, exploring its features and then telling you about it. A product that, we can anticipate, has convinced us and is certainly interesting in particular in relation to its price range. But there are several details to be explored, so let's dive into the Redmi Note 10 5G review!

Why talk about "adventure"?

Before getting into the part more technical of the piece, it is good to explain the reference to the adventure in the title. The reason for this choice lies in the fact that our test of the two devices started in a 'really special occasion. In fact, we took part in two days full of exciting experiences, which allowed us to actually test in the field both the Redmi Note 10 5G, and the brand new Mi Smart Band 6 (which we will talk about in a dedicated piece). One way to kick off the analysis on the right foot.

Together with Xiaomi and several other journalists, we left in the direction of Tuscany. Here we were welcomed in a structure surrounded by nature. This is the Dynamo Oasis, a WWF affiliated nature reserve, part of the famous project Dynamo Camp. In the context of the new initiative Oasy Hotel, we tested ourselves with various more or less demanding, but undoubtedly exciting experiences.

As you can see from the several photos scattered throughout this article, they were different the occasions with which Xiaomi pushed us to challenge our limits, in line with its claim #ChallengeYourBoundaries. Between trekking, tree-climbing, orienteering exercises, kayaking on the lake, Tibetan bridges and ziplines, these were two challenging days but incredibly exciting. The welcoming atmosphere of the structure (and their incredible cuisine) did the rest, for a two days hard to forget.

Above all though, it was a perfect opportunity to see how the two devices we were called to test would have behaved. One way then not only to challenge our borders, but also those of Redmi Note 10 5G and Mi Smart Band 6. How did she go? Now that we have told the premise we can really find out together.

We then come to the analysis of this highly anticipated device. We are of course talking about the new Redmi Note 10 5G, a model that is positioned in the mid-range and we must say it, defends itself really well. The packaging looks like really minimal, as is now customary, containing in addition to the smartphone and the various instructions, the associated charger, a protective cover and the USB Type-C cable.

Visually it presents itself in line with the design of the last few years of this type of products. The front is entirely dedicated to the screen, with a very small hole at the top for the camera. The back is shiny and is pleasing to the eye, although it tends to retain a little too many fingerprints. Inside the package, however, we will also find one as we said practice custody which, in addition to offering some protection to the device, will allow to solve this problem. On the side we can find the keys for the volume and the fingerprint reader (in a very convenient position to reach).

Once picked up it turns out rather light with only 190g, very comfortable to hold. It is slightly longer than other smartphones, but this does not hinder its use, on the contrary. Once challenged you quickly adapt to the socket and can be used quite simply with one hand without having the impression that it can 'run away'. The back, in fact, despite being smooth, offers a minimum of grip, in a rather balanced way.

It is interesting to highlight the presence of a 3,5mm headphone jack (also equipped with certification for Hi-Res Audio). A factor that part of the public can appreciate, avoiding the need to adopt wireless headphones and / or adapters as happens with other smartphone models.

Let's start using it

Once turned on they serve few steps to set it up and then you can leave. The experience is generally positive, with a device that responds well and that has withstood our tests with different applications. Loading and reaction times are in line with our expectations and it is appreciable the presence of various software which are now common since the beginning, facilitating the first steps.

By analyzing it carefully, they can be seen some small imperfections which make the user experience less fluid. However, it's all about performance more than satisfactory for a product that is positioned in the mid-range of the market (and indeed, within this it is also in the cheapest share).

The screen, a DotDisplay AdaptiveSync da 6,5″, goes well with most uses. If used to watch movies it is not particularly exciting, but it absolutely remains above the common needs. After all, it is only a matter of minutiae, which cannot annoy users (and to be honest, neither do we).

The use of the Redmi Note 10 5G that we tell in this review has therefore made us a 'positive impression. Beyond a few very small details, it is a decidedly satisfactory product, especially when compared to the range to which it belongs. In this sense then the presence of one 5G connection (in Dual SIM) could be a key advantage in the market, providing access to this technology rather inexpensive.

A good photographic sector and an excellent battery

From a photographic point of view, we find well four goals. The main 48 MP camera is accompanied by a 2MP macro camera, a 2MP depth sensor and an 8MP front camera. Trying them, it can be seen that - beyond the numbers - the results that can be obtained are generally positive.

Specifically, in optimal lighting conditions (below you can see some examples) you can get some very appreciable shots. This is regardless of whether you are using the front or rear camera. If the environment is suitable, the photographs turn out to be good quality and convincing, ready to make us look great once published on social networks.

On the other hand, al decrease in light intensity matches a net loss of results. This is an acceptable consequence and one that you can try to compensate for by adjusting the settings better. However, the difference is significant enough to be worth mentioning.

Absolutely the battery is satisfactory. Its 5.000 mAh can hold up very well even under rather intense use. Then the presence of a system of fast charging from 18W will allow us to recover energy very quickly, facilitating its use without major interruptions.

Redmi Note 10 5G review: The economic way to 5G

Overall, our review of the Redmi Note 10 5G is certainly positive. It is a model that will worthily satisfy all the needs of those who want a smartphone within this price range. The support from now on to 5G makes this device particularly interesting, managing to offer an entry point accessible to almost all budgets for this technology.
