Reselling second-hand objects to other individuals on Leboncoin is practical and easy. But there are a few tips for publishing your ad!
Like other marketplaces and classifieds sites, Leboncoin is a good solution for reselling used products. But for an object to find a taker, you have to fill in all the sections. These are the elements that will allow your future buyers to find your ads during their research. To view items for sale, Internet users have several choices: either by searching near their home or in their department, or by consulting the sections that interest them (video or computer games, for example). They can also have access to ads based on certain keywords: the name of an object, a brand, etc.
To place your ad, the first step is to create your account on Leboncoin for free. You must then complete all the sections ... and we explain how to do it from a web browser.
Create a classified ad on Leboncoin
- Using your web browser, log into your account on Leboncoin by entering your username and password at the top left of the page. Note: if you forget to do this before starting your ad, don't worry: you can fill in this information later.
- Click on the tab Submit a listing on the home page of the site.
- Select the category that best matches the item you want to sell. Each category corresponds to several sub-headings: click on the category that seems relevant to you to check the linked sub-headings. For example, Multimedia if you want to resell a video game.
- Click on the subcategory in which you want to post your ad. For example, Consoles and video games .
- Fill in the type of ad: Offer, to sell, or Request, to buy, then click on Continue .
- Choose the brand, state or model that corresponds to your property. The titles of these fields may vary depending on the type of product you wish to sell. Then click on Continue .
- Fill in the title of the ad accurately. The terms “buy” or “sell”, for example, will not be accepted. It is preferable to provide additional information that will be able to convince the Internet user to see your ad rather than another.
- Then fill in the description of the ad. Please feel free to give details about the item, how you want the sale to go ("hand delivery only", for example). The more details you give, the more it helps the buyer to make up his mind. If you want to offer a right of withdrawal to your buyer, this must be mentioned. Once you have entered this information, click on Continue .
- You get to the heart of the matter: the selling price and the delivery possibilities. Leboncoin has been offering delivery in partnership with Mondial Relay for several months, and the shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Indicate the selling price of your item in the box provided, then select the delivery methods just below. If you choose No delivery method, this usually means delivery by hand, or to be agreed directly with the buyer.
- Click on Add pictures to accompany your ad. You can choose 3. Click on Continue to start loading photos. An ad with photos is viewed more than an ad without illustrations.
- Enter your postal address or the name of your city. This helps locate your ad. Click on Continue .
- Fill in the contact details fields. The Email field is directly filled in with information related to your personal account and it cannot be modified. The Telephone field is also pre-filled, but you can modify it. You can also click Hide number et Refuse any commercial solicitation . Then click on Continue .
- If you want to give more visibility to your ad, Leboncoin offers paid offers for a promotion. They are not compulsory. You can select the one that interests you, or click on Submit my ad without boosting .
- Your ad has been sent to the site. It is not yet online: the upload is validated by the platform and it takes between a few minutes and a few hours of delay. As soon as the advertisement is online, you will be notified by email. The ad will then be visible in search results as well as in your personal space.
Modify or delete your ad
- Log into your personal space by clicking on your username, at the top right, then on Real estate ads .
- Ads online or still being validated are grouped in this space. Select the ad you want to modify or delete by checking the box to the left of the ad.
- Click on Edit ou Remove depending on what you want.
