Pokémon Go has now officially released in many countries, but it still lacks a few features. Niantic Labs has confirmed that player-to-player exchanges will be coming, as an added bonus to other big game improvements.
Mobile games are often frowned upon by traditional video game players. And for good reason: the productions of this platform often tend to be poorly thought out applications, often organized in such a way as to spit out as much money as possible.
However, nuggets exist on the platform. Nintendo has barely officially landed on the platform when it has already offered several, the latest being Pokémon Go, its virtual reality capture game. It will soon be available in Your country, although many players are already downloading the APK.
But many players were disappointed when launching the application, and for good reason: many features presented with the first trailer of the game are still missing, including the possibility interact with other players in order to trade Pokémon.
Have these been abandoned? Far from it: Niantic Labs CEO John Hanke said in an interview with Tech Insider that this is “a building block” of Pokémon and that it fits perfectly with Go's philosophy .
The players themselves have also found proof of the advent of monster exchanges on the mobile game: this feature is indeed already mentioned in the Terms Of Service of the service, which are accessible when you register.
In this interview, he also talks about the augmented reality engine used by the game, which is only in “its most basic version” and is destined to evolve in the future. The ability to make Go compatible with future AR headsets like the Microsoft HoloLens or Google Glass is also being considered.
All in all, it seems that the missing features are only temporary: the app is still in beta, and won't stop growing in the future. It is therefore time to start Pokémon Go in the right conditions to be ready to become the Pokémon master of tomorrow!
