Snapseed (Android / iOS / iPadOS)
The first among the photo frame apps that, in my opinion, you would do well to consider is Snapseed. Haven't you ever heard of it? Strange, she is very famous. In any case, there is no problem, let's fix it immediately: it is a solution for Android and iOS / iPadOS, made available by Google, which, thanks to the numerous tools offered, allows you to perform various image editing operations, such as adjusting the color of the photos, saturation, brightness etc. Among the various tools available, there is also one for applying frames.
To download it, if you are using Android, visit the relative section of the Play Store and award your bottone Install. If, on the other hand, you are using iOS / iPadOS, access the relevant section of the App Store, press the button Get, quindi quello Install and then authorizes the download using Face ID, touch ID o password dell'ID Apple. In next, avvia l'app sfiorando il pulsating apri comparso sul display oppure selecting the relative icon which has just been added to the home screen.
Now that you see the Snapseed main screen, tap on the button capacitor positive (+) lead in the center and choose, from the menu that appears, whether to open a photo saved in the device's Gallery (Open from the device) or whether to take one on the fly using the camera (Camera). In both cases, grant permissions required by the app to access files saved on the device and / or camera.
Next, tap on the item Instruments found below, select the tool Frames present in the menu that opens and choose the frame you want to apply to the image among the various ones in the list. At the top you will also find the thickness of the frame, while on the right there is a button depicting a rectangle divided in half which, when pressed, allows you to view the photo before and after the changes.
Once you have found the frame you like, tap the button with the checkmark, located at the bottom right, to confirm and apply the changes.
Finally, save the framed photo by tapping on the item Export which is located in the lower right part of the app screen and choosing, from the menu that opens, the option Save a copy (to save an edited copy of the original image) or that one Save (to overwrite the original photo).
Pixlr (Android/iOS/iPadOS)
Pixlr is another great photo editing app that you can refer to, if you want to add frames to your photos: it is, in fact, a free solution that includes numerous tools to modify saturation, highlights, shadows and other parameters of the photos and that also offers a nice set of frames that can be applied to images to embellish them. It is available for both Android and iOS / iPadOS. Note that any extra tools and features can be unlocked through in-app purchases (at a minimum cost of 1,09 euros).

Now that you see the Pixlr editor, tap on the icon depicting a cornice located at the bottom of the screen, choose the category of frames you are interested in from those below and then the actual frame you want to apply from the proposed list.
Next, adjust the intensity of the applied frame, using the adjustment bar appropriate, and confirm the changes made by tapping on checkmark located at the bottom right. If you first want to see the differences between the photo with and without the frame, you can do it by pressing the button with the rectangle divided in half located at the top right.

If, on the other hand, you are using iOS / iPadOS, access the relevant section of the App Store, first press the button Get, then that Install and authorize the download via Face ID, touch ID o password dell'ID Apple. Then start the application by pressing the button apri comparso sullo schermo oppure selecting the relative icon added to the home screen.
Now that you see the main InFrame screen, grant the app i permissions to access the Gallery of the device and select the image in relation to which you are interested in going to act, then tap on checkmark at the bottom right to confirm your choice and access the application editor.
Note that, by default, InFrame shows you not only the photo you chose earlier but also another one included in the Gallery, in order to create a collage effect. If you don't care, you can remove the second photo inserted from the app by tapping on it in the editor and selecting the item Elimination from the menu below. If, on the other hand, you want to modify the photo in question, you must select a second one when choosing the images.
Next, tap on the item Frame which is located at the bottom of the screen and choose, from the menu that opens, the frame that you intend to apply to the photo, then press on the checkmark located at the bottom right to confirm the changes made.
If you want, you can further customize the chosen frame by changing the background colors: to do this, tap on the item Background that you find below and choose the color or pattern you intend to use among those proposed. Even in this case, to apply the changes made, always tap on checkmark that you see appear at the bottom of the display, on the right.
To conclude and then to save a copy of the edited photo in the Gallery of your device, click on the button done located at the top right. If you also want to share the image on social networks or via instant messaging, select, on the next screen, theservice icon of your interest and that's it.
