But how does the Pedigreender app work? First you have to download the application, available both on the App Store and on the Google Play Store. Once installed, you can register or log in using your Facebook, Google or Apple account credentials. Then you have to enter your city and create a profile for your pet, be it dog or cat. Here you need to insert a photo to introduce yourself and impress the other pets, as well as the name, date of birth, gender and breed, as you can see from the screenshot below (yes, the cat that lent itself to the experiment his name is Gatto).
Once you have completed the initial setup, you enter the actual dynamics of the application, well known to those who have hung out on Tinder and other dating apps. It will have to be done swipes to the right to approve the proposed cat or dog or to the left to reject the proposal and see the next animal. Obviously, in order to start a conversation and trigger love it will be necessary to express a preference for each other, to be able to do what in the jargon of dating apps is called match.

During the search you can read at a glance the name of your pet's possible future suitor, accompanied by age and sex, as well as the breed, the distance from you and some additional information. In fact, owners can write if the animal has a pedigree or post messages in their profile, for example if they are looking for a better half for a litter. You can too set filters to refine your search, for example include only dogs or only cats and the mileage. The advanced filters, on the other hand, allow you to search for only pedigreed pets, born on the farm, who have obtained trophies or exclude certain breeds or sizes.
Unlike Tinder and other human apps, Pedigreender has no like limits or swipe so you can approve as many dogs and cats as you want.
