Oppo Reno 10x Zoom vs Oppo Reno

Aesthetically, the two models are very similar to each other. The main differences obviously concern weight and size, more generous for Reno 10x Zoom. The larger display justifies them: 6,6 inches against the 6,4 of Oppo Reno.

The most substantial differences, however, concern the technical characteristics. Under the body, in fact, we find a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 while the younger brother is limited to a still agile Snapdragon 710.

To support the processors we find 8 GB of RAM for the new model against 6 GB for Oppo Reno, while the internal memory remains the same: 256 GB. But be careful: on the Reno 10x Zoom you have the possibility to expand it using a microSD, a possibility that was precluded on the previous model. Performance remains excellent on both devices. Obviously, if you are used to using many apps at the same time or playing the most demanding games, Reno 10x Zoom lends itself better to this type of use. Furthermore, the latest hardware guarantees excellent performance even in the long term.

Both products feature a fingerprint reader under the display, the possibility of inserting two SIMs and an operating system updated to Android 9.0 Pie with ColorOS 6. The network speed is different: Oppo Reno 10x Zoom takes advantage of it the 4.5G which reaches 1200 Mbps while the younger brother stops at 600 Mbps Battery capacity: 4060mAh on 10x Zoom against 3760 mAh on Oppo Reno.

The power of the 10x Zoom

The biggest difference concerns the photographic sector. Oppo Reno mounts a double rear camera while the 10x version has three. The first is 48 megapixel and provides optical stabilization and laser autofocus, absent on Oppo Reno. The camera allows record video in 4K at 60fps, against the 30 fps of the other device. The second camera is the much vaunted 10x zoom (which gives the model its name) with 13 megapixel sensor. Close the camera set one wide-angle from 8 megapixel. The 16 megapixel front camera is the same for both devices. [ Oppo Reno 10x Zoom is available at a suggested retail price of € 799 while the Oppo Reno model is available for € 499.
