With a concise but effective post on his Twitter profile, Jordan Peele announced in one fell swoop the title, release date and poster of his next project. In a year, more precisely on July 22, 2022, Nope, the new film by the American director with protagonists, will arrive in theaters Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer e Steven Yeun. For Oscar winner Daniel Kaluuya, this is the second collaboration with the director after the acclaimed Escape - Get Out, which in 2018 won 4 Academy Award nominations, topped off with a statuette for the best original screenplay. Keke Palmer and Steven Yeun, recently seen in The Girls of Wall Street - Business Is Business and Minari, are on their first collaboration with Jordan Peele. From the official Nope poster, we learn that it will be a film-only release and that some scenes were shot with IMAX cameras.

Universal Pictures will distribute Nope, marking the director's third collaboration with the celebrated studio. The project is part of the company's five-year manufacturing agreement with Universal itself. At the time of writing, no details on the plot are known yet, although, knowing the poetics of the American filmmaker, we can expect a horror-thriller steeped in mystery and violence.
With just two cinematographic directions behind him, Peele is already a certainty in the Hollywood field, thanks also to the excellent results obtained at the box office by his works. His first feature Escape - Get Out was a critical and commercial success. The film, which also stars Allison Williams, Lil Rel Howery and Bradley Whitford, grossed $ 255 million worldwide. It followed in 2019 Noi, a disturbing thriller starring Lupita Nyong'o about a family attacked by a group of doppelgängers, which also earned $ 255 million worldwide.
