A few days ago we had the opportunity to test two of the latest products released from Xiaomi. It was a dive into the adventure, which we talked about in detail in the piece dedicated to the first of these, or the Redmi Note 10 5G that you find at the bottom. Now it's time for the second part of our test and so here we are with the review of the Mi Band 6. A product that really impressed us a lot, with a wealth of features that easily rivals that of much cheaper colleagues. Let's not delay any longer so and let's discover the device that will become your new best friend!
Mi Band 6, the review of the Xiaomi smartband
This new version of Xiaomi's popular smart life device, the sixth, is striking simplicity. The lines of this smartband are soft and clean, without particular details and embroidery. An aspect that certainly makes it comfortable to combine with many different contexts, even beyond the sporting one. The clip fastening allows you to put it on and take it off comfortably in almost any condition, a factor that should not be underestimated.
The focus of the device is of course its screen. It is a AMOLED Touch Full Screen da ben 1,56″ which offers an excellent breadth of vision, making it easy to use. From a brightness point of view it is satisfactory, defending itself well even in conditions of strong external light. The fact that you have to go into the settings manually to change the intensity makes the correction process a bit cumbersome when needed, but it's an acceptable sacrifice.
From a functional point of view it offers the possibility of monitor over 30 different types of workouts, whether they are indoor or outdoor. However, the ability to detect automatically some common disciplines (from walking to running to cycling). That way it will be even simpler collect data on your experience even during the day without the need for programming.
There is no shortage then many other functions dedicated to everyday life. From notifications to sleep quality control, passing through the possibility of breathing exercises guided and monitoring of stress levels. However, the presence of a measurement of the blood oxygen saturation, a parameter that is important to always keep under control. Less relevant perhaps for the general public, but particularly appreciated by the writer, is the integration of tomato method. A convenient way to keep your productivity high, without resorting to other devices.
Fully satisfactory and economical
Lo large and full touch screen and the absence of buttons make this smartband very easy to use. All processes are extremely intuitive, two or three swipes are enough for being able to move at your best and explore the different functions it offers. Then combined with the companion application (which we immediately installed on the Redmi Note 10 5G we were testing) it becomes a very useful and complete tool.
Also from the point of view of the battery the results are excellent. Both in terms of longevity, it went well in our tests even beyond the promised five days despite the rather intense use, both as regards more logistical aspects. The presence of a proprietary charger with magnetic coupling makes it easy to store the device to recover energy, and then take it back on the fly for a new workout.
Our review of this Mi Band 6 is therefore absolutely positive. A tool that offers a large number of useful functions, accompanied by a simple design and therefore suitable for any context, all contained in an affordable price. If you are looking for a smartband that can support you both in physical activity and in everyday life, this is a great choice.
