Lost Lands: Dark Overlord is a first-person graphic adventure intended to catapult the player into a vast fantasy universe. In this work, developed by Five BN Games, the player plays the role of Susan, a girl looking for her son Jimmy, kidnapped by a demon and dragged into the magical world of Lost Lands.
Susan's main focus is find out who kidnapped your son and why. And to do this, the player will have to collect magical items, combine them with each other and talk to the locals. The puzzles and brain teasers that dot the path are generally quite simple but they manage to give the player enough satisfaction to continue to the end. To unlock doors and receive special items it is necessary to play mini-games, all successful and fun.

Lost Lands: Dark Overlord takes place along the three macro-scenes of the Lost Lands: Forest, Mountain, Castelli. Each of these is divided into about thirty environments connected to each other. Flying castles, pirate ships, snowy landscapes, villages, mines and swamps are just some of the detailed scenarios offered by the game. Some areas can be reached aboard special vehicles, such as elevators or airships, which we are given the opportunity to access only after solving the relative puzzles.
Despite the vastness of the game map, the scenarios are so rich in detail that the chance of getting lost is almost minimal. If this happens, it is still possible to consult the map of the kingdom, which allows you to teleport directly to any previously visited place, without having to retrace all the way.
In order not to get too confused between the various missions, the interactive menu contains a index of the tasks carried out and those in progress. In addition to this, placed on the left of the display, there is a book icon where you can refresh your memory of everything that has happened up to that moment.
The creatures Susan interacts with are the classic ones of fantastic literature. D.raghi, elfi, Wizards, spirits of the lakes e flying demons are just some of the imaginative inhabitants of the Lost Lands. Music also helps to create the right atmosphere, carefully chosen to emphasize the emotions aroused by each environment.
It must be admitted that, every now and then, some clue seems a bit too hidden, making it difficult to find. Should you get stuck, you will have to use coins to buy hints.
