LeNovo K10 Notes: Review

Of all the brands that have made themselves heard over the years, it must be said that Lenovo hasn't made any particular moves for some time. In the field of Smartphones, it started its good path by offering powerful phones at low prices, something that then began to collect brands like Honor or - at least initially - OnePlus. Over time, it was gradually sidelined, with products being released mainly in China. But now it looks like it's finally coming back, with the release of the Lenovo K10 Note. Let's see together what this mobile phone looks like.

The design of the K10 Note is nothing exceptional. Indeed, perhaps it is even a little below what we have been used to for some time. This is probably because it is nothing more than a model of a mobile phone that has already been released for some time: the Z6 Youth, naturally only present in China. The shell is mostly made of plastic, but it's not very refined either. It easily collects dust and fingerprints, but at least gives a certain sense of resistance and is decently received in our hands.

The 6.3-inch display has a resolution of 1080 × 2340 at 409ppi. Given the technology on which it is based (IPS LCD) the quality is not bad, indeed the mobile phone tends to give a good image quality in all situations. The screen covers almost the entire surface, but does not appear to offer any protection against scratches or drops.

As far as performance is concerned, Lenovo didn't want to take any particular risks, and probably did well too. Inside there is a Snapdragon 710 Chipset with 4Gb of RAM and 64Gb of internal memory, and thanks to the intelligent use of the ZUI 11 operating system (based on Android 9) the speed of the chipset is brought to the fore. Of course, this is not a mobile phone suitable for really intense operations, but in reality it is also possible to use it for some games.

The camera, a 16 + 8 + 2Mpx triple lens, does a decent job in more classic situations. However, do not expect more detailed finishes in dim light or in low light environments, for this reason in certain particular situations you can particularly notice a bit of grain and general loss in detail. However, it uses a good foundation.

As far as accessories are concerned, this is still one of the phones that has a 3,5mm port for audio, but in the same way it does not spare a USB type C connection for all needs. Speaking of which, this phone carries a 4050mAh battery, so it is very large and lasts for quite some time. A fast charging mode up to 18W is available, not bad for those who want to use a Smartphone throughout the day and still have a good percentage of remaining energy. Among the latest accessories we can find a decent Dual-Band Wifi connection and a Bluetooth 5.0 antenna. Although the speakers of this mobile phone are Dolby Atmos, they are not particularly powerful. Finally, just a little niche curiosity: the FM radio is integrated in the mobile phone and can usually also record broadcasts, but it will be necessary to see if the App will be added in the ZUI 11 of this Global version.

So let's close on the final price: what should we expect from the K10 Note? The price will probably be around 180 euros, an attractive price, but this does not make the phone a definitive product to buy. In fact, the market is now quite saturated with products of its own category, so the K10 Note is definitely “one of many” that will enrich the choice according to the user's tastes.

Generally, Lenovo could have done something better for this “remade” model of the Z6 Youth, however it's not really a bad phone.
