Taking advantage of all the sensors that iPhone X has that can recognize the face, Apple has also decided to create the Animoji. These are the “smileys” that we are used to using every day, with the particularity that they come alive following our movements.
How to create Animoji with iPhone X
The camera of the new iPhone X, in fact, is able to analyze facial expressions and replicate them on the characters present in the messages app. The user can then choose one of the smileys and apply his expression to them and then send it to whomever he wants.
To create an animoji you will first have to go to the app Messages (currently the only one that supports them) and select a conversation. In the message screen you will have to press on the icon iMessage and then select the little monkey. You will see the list of available Animoji from which you will have to choose one.
Once your face is in the frame, press the red button to start recording (which can take up to 10 seconds). Once registration is complete, you can review what you have created and choose whether to delete it, send it or change face.
As mentioned earlier, sadly, only the Messages app supports this feature. But we hope that other apps like Whatsapp will update with this new feature over time.
