Huawei Watch 2 is finally available on the market. We, after a long test, are ready to review it.
Huawei Watch 2, the new version of the SmartWatch of the Chinese giant Huawei, has the appearance of a real watch: plastic case, ceramic bezel (unfortunately not rotatable) and sports strap. There is also the version with 4G with SIM which makes it totally independent from the smartphone.
The dial of the Huawei Watch 2 - with a circular shape - is composed of an AMOLED display circular 1,2 inch with 390 × 390 pixel resolution, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
On board we find a Qualcomm 1,1 Ghz processor, 768 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal memory and a battery from 420 mAh; there is no shortage of GPS, Bluetooth 4.1 and WiFi, as well as sensors such as compass and barometer, gyroscope. On the back of the device there is also the now inevitable heart rate sensor.
The watch also boasts the IP68 certification for resistance to water and dust.
The operating system is Android Wear 2.0, easily navigated thanks to the top button of the clock - which allows you to access the menu - and through a series of swipes that allow you to find what you are looking for, whether it is notifications, the Google Translate app or turning on the torch. There is also a second button, located further down, which allows you to quickly select the type of training to be tackled.
Huawei Watch 2 is compatible not only with Huawei smartphones but with all smartphones with an operating system Android 4.3 or higher and iOS 8.2 or higher. P.just excited that before you have everything running you will have to install three different apps. A little cumbersome but nothing you can't easily survive.
In short, Huawei Watch 2 is a smartwatch solid, wearable but not free from defects.
