While playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons you will be collecting a lot of tools. A shovel, a jumping pole, a slingshot, your ax, it all adds up, and you will constantly be coming in and out of your pocket to find what you need.
Well, there is a better way to do it, and that is the tool ring. The tool ring will add a radial menu that lets you quickly and easily choose the tool you want at any time.
If you go to visit the Resident Services tent and interact with the little kiosk in the front right corner, you will be able to spend your Nook miles on certain items. Nooks Miles are earned simply by playing the game and reaching certain milestones. You can check them in your Nook phone, and they'll always tell you what's the next goal. They are very easy to earn, so it won't take long for you to start accumulating them.
You can buy the Tool Ring at the kiosk for 800 Nook Miles, which is actually a pretty low price considering how quickly you can earn them. Once you have the Tool Ring, you can simply hold the D-Pad up button when you're out and about to open the radial menu for all of your tools.
It's a great item to buy early on, and makes the transitions between exploring, harvesting, and catching a lot smoother.
