Preliminary information
The only official tool for integrating a piece of music into Instagram stories is the sticker Music, which allows you to draw on a specific database of songs, very large and therefore almost always sufficient to find the songs of your interest.
If, however, you ask yourself how to put your own music on instagram because you would like to upload a song not included in this database to yours stories, you will need to use third-party solutions, such as music streaming services that support background playback.

How to put music on Instagram in stories
Having made all the necessary premises, let's move on to the practical part of the guide and see, together, how to put music in the stories of Instagram through the use of adhesive Music and third-party workarounds.
Instagram music
As already mentioned, in the stories of Instagram it is possible to add background music thanks to the use of the sticker Music, which allows you to choose a song from those in the database integrated into the app.
To use this, launch the Instagram that you have downloaded to your Android or iOS device, and log in to your account if necessary. Now, press onicona della macchina photography, located in the upper left corner, to open the tool dedicated to the creation of Instagram.
Make a story, then, by recording a video or taking a photo, using the pulsating dell'otturatore. Once this is done, press onsquare emoticon icon located at the top and, in the menu that is shown to you, press on the item Music, to open the track selection panel.
At this point, select the music track to your liking, to select it, and customize the song by choosing its segment and duration (the range goes from 5 a 15 seconds). Also, if you wish, aesthetically customize the sticker, using the button Aa andcolor palette icon.
When you are satisfied with the result, press the button end and publish the story by pressing the button The tua storia.
Music streaming services
Some of the most famous services for listening to streaming music, such as Spotify, offer the possibility of listening to the music tracks from their catalog even in the background, so even while recording a story for Instagram. You can then take advantage of this feature to put a song in the background in Instagram Stories, if it is not available in the catalog of the sticker. Music.
To proceed, start the streaming music app at your disposal on your device and play, using the key Play, the song of your choice. After that, open the app of Instagram, log in to your account (if necessary) and press thecamera icon, to open the story creation tool.
At this point, record the video by holding down the pulsating dell'otturatore: the story will present the song playing in the background as background music. In this regard, I remind you that you can start music playback even at a later time, as you just need to press the button Play through notification menu of Android or the Control Center iOS (accessible by swiping from the top right corner of the screen or, on iPhone 8 and earlier, from bottom to top).
In both cases, when you have finished creating the story and want to publish it, click on the button The tua storia.
Screen recording
As an alternative to the solutions indicated so far, to put a piece of music on Instagram you can opt for screen recording, via the native functionality of Android o iOS. On Android, if the native function is not available on your smartphone, you can take advantage of third-party apps, such as ADV Screen Recorder, which I told you about in this tutorial of mine.
That said, if your smartphone Android comes with the question functionality, activate it by pressing the key combination Volume Up + Power Off. Alternatively, you can record the screen by pressing the appropriate icon (Record screen) which you can find in Notification Center (visible with a swipe from the top to the bottom of the screen).
Su iOSinstead, screen recording was introduced starting with iOS 11 and later versions and can be activated via the Control Center. This panel is visible with a swipe from the top right corner down (up iPhone X and later models) or from bottom to top (on iPhone 8 / 8 Plus and earlier models).
At this point, in both cases, start the app through which you want to record the music and play the song of your interest. After that, to stop recording the screen on Android pulsating award Stop located at the top. On iOS, on the other hand, first presses on red dot / bar which is at the top and then tap the button Stop, to confirm the operation. The movie will be automatically saved in the app Gallery o Gallery on Android and in the app Gallery of iOS.
Once this is done, all you have to do is start the app Instagram and log into your account if necessary. Now, press oncamera icon, located in the upper left corner and import the recorded video into the stories, pressing themedia gallery icon.
