Call of Duty: Warzone is out, and so far fans are loving Modern Warfare's face off against the battle royale. Warzone's cannons, map, and new features are a breath of fresh air in a somewhat stale genre. However, while it's fun to play alone or with a random party, don't you much prefer jumping with friends?
If you like a lot of players in the community, you have friends who play on different systems. Whether it's on PC, PlayStation 4, or Xbox One, you rarely have a group of friends on the same platform.
Fortunately, in Warzone you don't have to be on the same system as your friends to team up. As in Modern Warfare, cross play is enabled, which means you can join a lobby with a PC player if you're on the console and vice versa.
Image via Activision. The way you do this is exactly like in the standard version of Modern Warfare. Simply add a player by their Activision ID, which is a personalized name and unique digital tag. If you don't know how to find it, go to Activision's website and sign in to your account. If you don't have one, create a new account.
Once logged in, go to "Profile" in the upper right corner of the screen. This will bring up your basic information, where you can find "Activision ID". You can either add your friends with their credentials or they can add you. You'll know you've received a friend request when it appears in the "Social Networks" tab of Warzone. Make sure to include the full name with correct uppercase and the full number tag when adding a friend.
If all goes well, accept the friend request, join your teammate's lobby, and you are ready to play Warzone.
