Animal Crossing: New Horizons has by far the best character creator in the series - completely erasing the gender lock, adding multiple skin tones, eye colors, and hair colors and styles. That said, the game still has a bunch of things it could do better.
One thing that was a little disappointing was that while you could have unnatural hair colors, there weren't any unnatural eye colors or skin tones. Now with the fall update everything has changed.
Here's how to change the color of your eyes and skin.
Get a mirror or a vanity
First, make sure you've downloaded the new update. Then if you are new to the game you will need to get a mirror or vanity as you cannot change any of your facial features without one. One of the first, if not the first message in a bottle that you find on your island will have a DIY recipe inside for a basic mirror.
You can also borrow, catalog and use a friend's mirror, try to get one from a slingshot balloon, or hope to get one by shaking a tree. Borrowing from a friend and creating your own are the two most effective methods, however.
Spend Nook Miles

They cost 2400 nook miles each, which means you'll need a total of 4800 nook miles if you want to purchase both. Once you get them, go to a mirror or dressing table.
When you enter the skin menu there will be a brand new bottom row of skin colors. It is the same for the colors of the eyes. You will be able to access 10 new options in total: 4 new skin tones and 6 new eye colors.
All new colors are listed below.
