In addition to the coveted Super Mario 3D All-Stars available for a limited time, a nifty set of Super Mario pins will also be available. Sure, you can wear them, but each is inspired by the cover designs from the NES series, making this collection a pure, nostalgic eye candy. Best of all, the set won't cost you even a dime. On the contrary, Nintendo is asking those who are interested to complete a series of online challenges which are all very straightforward.
Every challenge needed to get the pins
There are a total of seven challenges, but they are more like short stages, each taking up a minute of your time. To get the set, you'll need to own a Nintendo Switch, possibly a copy of Super Mario 3D All-Stars, as well as access to the Nintendo website and the Mario Kart Tour mobile app. There is no specific order to complete them, but two of them are urgent.
- First of all, you want to make sure that you are signed in to your Nintendo Account from your Nintendo Switch, your internet browser, as well as for Mario Kart Tour.
- Second, download and open Mario Kart Tour from your Android or IOS device. You will want to search and race in the Super Mario Kart tour. You don't have to win, but completing it is a must. The tour will be active September 9-23 - so act fast.
- The following is the easiest. Once logged into your Nintendo Account from their website, visit SuperMario35.com by December 22.
- Once there, scroll down and you will find a short quiz of five questions you will need to take. There are two difficulties, but neither is really a challenge.
- On the site, there is also a Mario History Tab which you will need to go to. Download one of the three “This is my Mario” images.
- Next, go to Super Mario 3D All-Stars Music Page, and listen to the six available tracks. As long as you click on each of them, you will complete the challenge.
- The last and most important step will be to purchase a copy of Super Mario 3D All-Stars. Once you have obtained the game collection, redeem the Gold Points for your purchase. This step can be done from September 18 to March 31, 2021.
You might be wondering how Nintendo is able to tell if you have completed these steps. Well, if you go to the My Nintendo Missions tab on the dedicated Super Mario page, you can see that Nintendo has set up a checklist that shows your progress. The site mentions that the reward is available while supplies last. So if this sounds like the limited production Super Mario 3D All-Stars, you'll want to get it all done ASAP.
