Mario Kart Tour has races in different CC classes. To unlock three of them, you must race and win those races to reach player level 3. You start by accessing the 50cc races and will unlock 100cc at level 2 and 150cc at level 3. To gain access to the 200cc races, you must purchase the Gold Pass.
How to change CC in Mario Kart Tour
To change CC, you must do it just before the start of the race. Start by choosing your course. Then choose your driver, your kart and your glider. The next screen will show you what CC racing is. To change it, click on the button indicating the CC and the available options will appear. Choose the one you want, then press OK to start the race.
Keep in mind that CC will not just change the speed of the race; it will also change the behavior of the enemy driver. As you increase CC, they'll drive better, be more aggressive with items, and generally work harder to win.
The easiest way to watch the CC of the race is on difficulty. 50cc is the easiest, 100cc is medium, 150cc is difficult, and 200cc is the most difficult. You will also earn more points in higher difficulty races and can earn more stars for completing them.
It's a good idea to get used to the controls at 50cc and then start going up in difficulty to make sure you get the most points and the highest score possible. It will also prepare you better for the multiplayer component of the game, which will be unlocked at a later date.
