Animal Crossing: New Horizons is full of fish and bugs to catch. They all have their own set of rules for their appearance. From time of day to month and location, keeping track of them all can be a bit of a pain.
Sturgeon is no different and can be sold for 10000 bells, which is a nice price for one of your fish friends.
To find sturgeon in the northern hemisphere, you will need to search for fish spawning grounds near the mouths of rivers, from September to March in the southern hemisphere, and from March to September in the northern hemisphere. The time of day does not matter, as sturgeon can spawn at any time.
So, to recap:
Northern hemisphere
- Fish at the mouths of rivers
- Look for the biggest shadows
- Available all day
- Available only between September and March
Southern hemisphere
- Fish at the mouths of rivers
- Look for the biggest shadows
- Available all day
- Available only between March and September
Fish Bait is an item that will prove to be very useful in your quest to catch sturgeon or any other fish. Be sure to bring some with you when you plan to fish, as this will make more fish.
