In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you have the option to share your residence with other players. You have the option of having other players directly into your game from your Nintendo Switch, or inviting them while playing online. You'll need to access Nintendo's Online Membership if you want to get started in the online multiplayer experience.
For those playing from a single Nintendo Switch, you can have two to four players engaged in local co-op. You can start it by going to your NookPhone and using the Call Islander option, where you can choose the Party Play Multiplayer option. Whoever makes the call to invite other players is the leader, while the others are followers. You only have this option if you are sharing an island with another player. Each member of the shared island can have a home, ensuring that no one is in the same location. Unfortunately, Animal Crossing: New Horizons does not have a shared screen. The focus is on the group leader, but you can change roles at any time.
If you want to get into online multiplayer gaming, you need to visit Dodo Airlines Dodo to participate in local wireless game or online session. It is much easier to invite friends from your Friends list to join the game. However, if none of them are friends, you can send them a one-time Dodo code to join your session. When they enter your game, you can freely show them your carefully designed island and give them a tour. You can verify another player's island by being on their friend list and inviting them, or by receiving a Dodo code.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is much better with good friends. Make sure to invite them to check out all your hard work, or wait for an invite to check out what they've been up to on their island. You must have a Nintendo online service subscription if you want to engage in online gaming.
