It will soon be much easier to find your photos taken with Google Photos. In an upcoming update, which will not be long in coming, the search section of the application will have a Documents section, capable of recognizing all types of documents saved in the form of snapshots.
Google Photos sets itself apart from its competitors with its unmatched search performance. Performance obtained thanks to its highly developed artificial intelligence, able to recognize all kinds of objects, faces and landscapes. The latter can then group the photos by sometimes very specific themes, such as the Beer and Wine groups which have recently completed the collection.
This time it is a brand new section that will soon appear in the search page. For the moment, this one proposes to find its photos from three sections: People and Animals, Places and Themes. In the coming days, it will also be possible to browse a section Documents. In the latter will be classified the photos of posters, recipes and official papers, But also screenshots of messages or PDFs.
The Documents section joins the search for Google Photos
There are thus a number of categories within the Documents section. Some are also very specific, such as photos of handwritten texts, post-its, business cards, signatures or even billboards. Another proof, if one were needed, that the Google Photos recognition system is probably the most efficient on the market today, although a few errors should be noted.

The update adding the Document section should be deployed in the coming days. It is very likely that the feature is also available on the web version of the app. While waiting to be able to take advantage of it, Google has also improved the video editor by adding many new features. What to wait before finding more easily this very important lost document.
