Google recently launched a new version of its voice assistant, Google Assistant, and the update includes Support for Driving Mode for multiple countries, in addition to the United States where it was already available. Currently the service has been launched in Australia, United Kingdom, Ireland, India and Singapore.
Google Assistant Help Mode expands globally
La Assistant Help Mode has been in development for several months and is now ready to be launched globally. Now, in addition to the US, the feature is available in Australia, UK, Ireland, India and Singapore, in English. And, according to the behemoth, its performance can rival Android Auto.
Google Assistant Help Mode is a feature that allows you to carry out various activities without getting distracted during a car trip. It is very simple to use and is similar to Android Auto. The feature actually allows users to use voice to make calls and reply to messages. You can also answer incoming calls, or reject them using your voice. Also, users can start music while browsing via applications such as Spotify e YouTube Music, or listen to podcasts through Google Podcasts and other services. A smartphone with Android 9.0 or higher with a RAM of at least 4GB.
To start Guide Mode just start navigating to your destination, through Google Maps, and select the functionality from the screen presented to the user. You can also start by saying “Hey Google, take me [destination]”. It is also possible to enter the Google Assistant settings, then select “Transport” and activate the option. Google Guide Mode is currently not available in Italy, but with the arrival of the global launch it is expected that the expansion will continue gradually, until reaching Europe and our market.
