Abzû et The end is near, Are currently free on the Epic Store! Gaming freebies are common here, as their offerings range from popular and well-established titles to new games worthy of the limelight. This time around, we're good at a beautiful game and a great post-apocalyptic platformer that, by coming for free, is a sin against capitalism in every sense of the word, as they cost over $ 40 combined.
About Abzû
This concept was developed by Mr. Matt Nava, or at least invented. He was the art director of Journey, while working with the developer of That Game Company, and those familiar with the title will notice similarities in the art style. Additionally, both games feature a kind of slow, steady journey that follows a lonely protagonist in a sort of melancholy yet calm setting. Giant Squid is the studio credited for its overall development, while 505 Games is responsible for publishing the title.
Abzû's release date was August 2016, but the game never lost its refreshing feel when it comes to gameplay, graphics, and atmosphere inspired by a creation like this. As shown in the trailer, players control a lone diver that weaves its way through incredible landscapes made of completely naturalistic settings. Naturally, there's a drama added to the character exploring ancient archaeological sites and dealing with ocean dwellers, but the beauty of this game is worthy enough to buy it, without even getting it for free.
About the end is near
"If you are reading this, you are probably dead ...
I'm kidding, you're not dead… AGAIN!
See, in the future, everything dies ... for
The biggest part. And, it's just a play on that.
The end is near! "- The direction
This description of the game given by its developers and publishers, Edmund McMillen and Tyler Glaiel, seems best suited to the game. The End Is Nigh is an adventure platform game with sprawling action, set in a post-apocalyptic future. . However, this game offers an incredible humorous take on the dark and gloomy nihilistic approach.
Players will take on the role of Ash, who is one of the few "survivors" of the "end of the world", and they will make their way through what is best described as pain and suffering. Really feeling the stress of the character is the main preoccupation of the game, it seems, as we see the decomposing Ask being attacked by animal mutants and desperately trying to succeed in his most cherished quest - to make a friend. Also, he catches tumors and collects game cartridges… so go figure. OR better yet, try it for yourself, as it's currently free.
