    Figment hits iOS on Thursday

Figment: Journey into the Mind arrives on the iTunes App Store on Thursday, November 28, 2019, proudly announced by Bedtime Digital Games. The whole game represents an interesting concept because it takes place entirely in the human mind, or rather its setting. The gameplay is based on exploring what we call the left and right hemispheres of the brain and will pose the appropriate challenges for both. The game will challenge the right side of the brain with The Riddles in which the developer's words "lateral thinking is key", while the left side of the brain will have to use reasoning and logic in a different set of challenges.

In the trailer, we can see that the game draws a lot from the genre of the 3D platformer game, while what is happening to the main character is certainly not clear at first glance. Figment is available on PlayStation in May 2019 and is now moving to the mobile version.

If we were to boil the game down to a genre definition, it's a musical action-adventure, but it takes place in the recesses of the human mind not just the setting of the game.

As mentioned, Figment iOS uses this premise to present us with a surreal and eerie world filled with our thoughts, memories and naturally awkward inner voices that never cease. Now, for in Figment, the mind that was once calm and quiet is now changed for the worse. New thoughts begin to emerge, personified as nightmarish creatures spreading fear throughout the mind and controlling it for its dark ends. We step in as Grumpy Dusty, a voice of courage ... or courage We must help Dusty regain his former courage and glory and help the spirit face fears.

Figment: The Journey into the Mind mobile game represents an interesting concept, combining real-life neuroscience, psychology and social studies with video games. The gameplay brings us to the action-adventure genre, sure, but the game's message of trust isn't that far from the truth. Plus, it'll challenge us with puzzles and intricate new gameplay mechanics rarely seen in any title, so check it out Thursday.
