FIFA 21 Update 1.10 patch notes

  • gameplay
  • Made the following changes:
    • Decreased the amount of time the Team Press D-Pad Tactic can be active, before requiring a cooldown, from 30 seconds to 20 seconds.
    • Increased the impact of the Overload Ball Side D-Pad tactic on stamina in the game.
    • Increased the impact of constant pressure, pressure on heavy touchdown, and pressure on loss of possession tactics on stamina in the game.
    • Reduced the distance AI teammates can reach when attempting to block the ball.
    • This change only applies in situations where the ball carrier takes a shot.
    • Improved interception logic in situations where the defending player is directly in the path of the ball.
    • This change only applies in situations where the ball carrier passes the ball.
    • Decreased the player's transition speed into a step after the skill move request.
    • Increased distance a ball can travel after being deflected by the hands of the goalkeeper.
    • Increased the distance a ball can travel after making contact with the defender's foot or leg during a block animation.
    • Added a new applause gesture animation in which AI teammates applaud a successful block during a potentially threatening attack, especially when the ball goes out of play as a result of the block.
  • Resolved the following issues:
    • Sometimes player gesture animations would occur in inappropriate situations when a defender was defending in their own box against an attack.
    • In rare cases, when celebrating a goal with a cameraman, an incorrect scene could be briefly seen.
    • Sometimes it takes too long to update the player's rating after a player scores a goal.
    • In rare cases, a goalie would perform a dive save animation earlier than expected, followed by another dive save.
    • The initial save animation did not affect the next save animation.
    • In some situations, a goaltender's request to throw can result in an own goal if the pass is directed at a receiver too close to the goal.
    • In rare cases, a collision between the goalkeeper and the opponent's player could have caused the goalkeeper to fall into the goal with the ball, resulting in a counter-goal.
    • These instances will now be treated as faults.
    • When a foul occurs which would result in a yellow card, but is not awarded because the referee requests an advantage, the offender may commit another foul with a yellow card and be shown a direct red card by the referee.
    • Bridge Skill Move could not be performed when playing with specific button remaps.
    • As a result of a goalie pass in the Advanced Practice scenario, the user could lose control of the player.
    • In some house rules match types with CPU AI, the game difficulty level did not match the selected setting.
    • Increased the distance a ball can travel after making contact with the defender's foot or leg during a block animation.
    • Sometimes skill moves weren't executed if they were called in immediately after the ball carrier had finished turning.
    • In rare cases, a player may discontinue a match immediately after another player has stopped it.
    • Addressed some cases of user-controlled players performing an automatic lunge animation with the Pass Block Assist setting set to Off.
    • Sometimes shoulder challenges and seals can result in unexpected player moves for the defending player.
    • Sometimes defenders can stretch their legs higher than intended during a block animation.
    • Fixed various visual issues only during some post-match relegation and promotion scenes.
  • FIFA Ultimate Team
  • Made the following changes:
    • When you select a goal song, club nickname, club anthem, or crowd song item in the transfer market, the audio can now be previewed from the Bidding Options screen.
    • When using the radial menu on the Transfer Market tab of the Squads screen, a new icon has been added to indicate the current bid status of the selected player item.
    • Added new animations to the Transfer Market tab of the Teams screen when an item you bid on is outbid by another player or if you have won the item.
  • Resolved the following issues:
    • After claiming FUT Coins from Team Event Objectives, the overall FUT Coins total did not increase until FUT was released and reinstated.
    • The correct amount of FUT coins was being claimed, this issue only affected when the overall total display increased.
    • An incorrectly displayed rewards return pop-up when starting FIFA 21 for players who have previously played FIFA 21 on an older console of the same family of consoles and who had previously claimed the referenced rewards.
    • These rewards are not intended to be claimed more than once.
    • Some My Stadium customization changes were not saved correctly if the player viewed the screen multiple times in the same session.
    • When switching between Confetti and Fireworks items in My Stadium, visual corruption may occur in the middle of the stadium.
    • Fixed an instance of player positions not updating accurately when changing formation on the squad screen.
    • Loan player items were not showing a loan indicator icon on the season progress screen.
    • When you try to access the Objectives screen through the button shortcut on the Team Event screen, after the Team Event is completed, an error message appears and the game will switch to FUT menu.
    • The Community tab incorrectly refers to levels as levels.
    • Once equipped, the Icelandic Anthem item was not played during the pre-match scenes.
    • When returning to the FUT menu after viewing an objective that was about to expire, the Time Remaining counter and the Take Me There button shortcut sometimes did not display.
    • Updated the FUT Pack artwork for the RIvals Mastery Objective.
    • Button sound effects did not trigger in the Co-op Lobby and Co-op Widget.
    • Adjusted the background of the FUT Store tile.
    • Stability issue when using the View Player Info button after a Co-op match.
  • Career mode
  • Made the following changes:
    • Potential increased variety of styles of kits, boots and accessories for young players.
  • Resolved the following issues:
    • After recalling all scouts to the GTN, a confirmation window might appear incorrectly.
    • On the Budget screen, transfer amounts did not count towards the number of players purchased when the transfer was made outside of a transfer window.
    • Upon exiting the Weekly Schedule screen, the player would be directed to an incorrect screen.
    • When you enter a match through the Interactive Sim Match, Player Lock becomes unavailable.
    • Fixed some cases of news items not displaying correctly.
    • When entering a match after half of it has been simulated, the in-game camera would unintentionally zoom out.
    • Made planning rules easier to view on the weekly training planning screen.
    • Acquiring a player through a player swap transfer did not meet the appropriate board objectives.
    • Young Scouts sometimes found similar numbers of highly rated and high potential players regardless of the country they were looking for.
    • In some cases the wrong board target was set for the UEFA Champions League.
    • It was possible to display the OVRs of unspotted players via the team sheet import screens.
    • Post-match screens sometimes showed that a team won a two-man game by away goals when they actually won by penalties.
    • As a result of a goalie pass in the Advanced Practice scenario, the user could lose control of the player.
    • There might be a stability issue when playing with Argentine teams.
    • Addressed stability issues that could rarely occur during post-match interviews.
  • Football Volta
  • Resolved the following issues:
    • After a match with 3 or more players controlled by the user, on the Match Result screen, “My stats were not calculated correctly if another player left the match before kick-off.
    • Fixed some cases of players unable to match.
    • Drop In VOLTA SQUADS lobbies were not properly dissolving after dropping below the minimum number of players.
    • When browsing My Squad screen views, avatar portraits may display an incorrect background, making it difficult to read the information presented.
    • When accessing VOLTA FOOTBALL, the News tile was not automatically selected.
    • When switching between tabs in Gear Up, the UI did not always reflect the currently selected objective.
    • In some cases, the post-match event progress screen incorrectly indicated that there were two or four captains on the same team, instead of one.
    • Avatar face morph customizations were not always saved.
    • In VOLTA teams, the VOLTA COINS and growth bonuses you get when playing with friends are not applied to all players when playing with invited teammates.
    • Updated UI in VOLTA Squads to allow players to see the following:
    • Division and rank of the active event from the HUB VOLTA Squads.
    • Rewards available in the active event.
    • Placement Matches information until the player has completed all 5 matches.
    • [PlayStation 5 Only] Updated an instance of placeholder text that appeared unintentionally.
    • Xbox Series X | S only] When inviting a friend to a game room, visual corruption may have been present on the screen.
    • A stability issue may arise during VOLTA SQUADS placement matches.
  • Professional clubs
  • Made the following changes:
    • Group, team, and camera celebrations can now be staged.
    • The camera will now zoom slightly towards the goalscorer during the celebration.
  • Resolved the following issues:
    • An incorrect OVR may display for Center Forward Virtual Pros under certain circumstances, depending on the size and weight of the Virtual Pro.
    • After winning the Mystery Ball Cup, the trophy would float during post-match celebrations.
    • In a specific case, a confirmation window did not appear when modifying custom tactics.
  • General, audio and visual
  • Made the following changes:
    • Updated some kits, broadcast package, 2D portraits, audio, scenes, celebrations, and commentary.
  • Resolved the following issues:
    • In rare cases, a match might load without the proper textures.
    • Updated some album art in EA Tracks.
    • The FIFA Playtime Help button caption did not display the requested help message.
    • Updated the lighting during the scene that plays when FIFA 21 is first started.
    • Updated several celebration scenes.
    • Addressed a camera positioning issue that could occur in Benteler Arena.
    • A potential stability issue affected by the in-game friends list.
    • In online seasons, the in-game substitution selection was not always the same as the pre-match squad sheet.
    • Some button captions did not display correctly in a pop-up window.
    • Fixed various visual issues only during some post-match relegation and promotion scenes.
      In some house rules match types with CPU AI, the game difficulty level did not match the selected setting.
    • Updated multiple instances of unintentional placeholder and poorly formatted text.
    • While celebrating Cristiano Ronaldo's signing, other players were using his sample vocals.
    • Addressed several potential stability issues.
  • Known problem
    • When a previously locked objective group is unlocked, it will continue to show as locked until the player exits and re-enters FUT.
