The new seasons in Apex Legends are always refreshing, but there's no doubt that Season 6 is about to be a game-changer. With a new Legend, new cosmetics, and a major new gameplay element, Season 6: Boosted is about to shake things up.
Rampart
Image via RespawnWe had talked about her in spurts and whispers, rumors about her conception, her gender and her existence, but today she crashes on the stage with a bang. Rampart is the new legend to join the Apex Games. She's a modder who has made a name for herself in the underground fight rings and is ready to show off in the greats. Oh, and she brought Sheila too. (It's his weapon.)
Holo-Sprays
Image via RespawnWith every new season comes a new Battle Pass, but this season's Pass is going to include a cosmetic we've never seen before. There were also rumors here and there that we were getting sprays, and this season they are joining our list of various cosmetics. There's a good chance Holo-Sprays will be available through other means other than the Battle Pass as well, but these have yet to be confirmed.
craft
Image via RespawnMove around Fortnite, your biggest competitor just added what sets you apart in their game. Now when you loot you can collect not only weapons and gear, but also crafting materials. That way, if you're unhappy with your loadout, you can boost it up with a little personal touch. As for tradition, this is perfect for introducing our modding legend, and we're excited to see the details.
Volt
Image via RespawnThe Volt is the latest weapon in the Apex loadout. Unlike last season which added a sniper weapon, this season is all about closeness. The volt is an SMG as well as the last energy weapon in the loadout. After Devotion was added to the Legendary roster, players only had two energy weapon options. With this third pistol joining the range, it could spark a new spark for the energy category.
The new season will also come with a new season ranked as usual, and so far that's all that's been revealed ... but we're not sure that's all Season 6 has to offer.
There have been several hints that we may have a second new legend this season, and even a new card: Olympus (Psymanthe). While there is also a chance that all of this will happen in Season 7, the truth remains to be seen.
