The original game was developed and published by CCP Games and its subsidiary Simon & Schuster. EVE Online was launched in 2003 and has never stopped being online since reaching unimaginable heights in those sixteen years. It has over 500 active subscribers at all times and uses the limited free-to-play model. Since then, the game has spawned a cult following and a vibrant community, with many important aspects of the game directly influenced by players and coalitions.
The release date of Eve Echoes is still set for Spring 2020, but the open beta is starting and the game is available for Android and iOS. The game is ported and offered by Netease Games, a veteran of the China-based mobile gaming market. After a closed beta, players can access it now on Google Play Store and App Store.
Setting
EVE Echoes is placed in a new parallel Eden. In this game, the concept of open world is replaced by open space, the universe being the scene of interstellar combat, hacking, exploration, harvesting of resources.
