I wasn't sure what to expect from this Creative Sound BlasterX Siege M04. The last time I had a product from the Singapore company in my hands was in fact 2008 and at the time the company was famous for devices dedicated to listening to music, including my beloved and now defunct Creative Zen.
However, it took just a few minutes to understand that Creative Sound BlasterX Siege M04 contains all the company's know-how.
Perfect at all times
Matt plastic chassis, rubberized side grips, braided cable and RGB lighting. This is enough to understand that the Creative mouse is not just one among many. In fact, this peripheral boasts an extremely refined design, not too aggressive and enriched by a really good build quality, which facilitates its use and allows you to keep a firm grip. However, it is not only the aesthetic side of this Siege M04 that is well balanced but also its weight. The mouse is not overly heavy or overly light, which will allow you to use it with ease for several hours.
The only real flaw probably concerns the shape. Creative's Siege M04 in fact drops slightly down on the right side, which makes it suitable for right-handed people only.
Seven keys available, among which we find the two main ones, equipped with switch Omron and separated from each other by the wheel, which flows smoothly while proceeding in jerks. A choice that probably won't make everyone happy but that I really appreciated very much. There are also three side buttons, fully customizable, and one on the top that allows you to quickly change the PPE.
Class-leading performance
However, Creative Sound BlasterX Siege M04 is not only an aesthetically appealing and comfortable to use mouse. On board we find un sensore PixArt PMW3360 with a 32-bit controller, 1 GHz polling rate and 12.000 DPI. All features that make it truly perfect for the most exciting gaming sessions, also thanks to the four rubber feet placed on the bottom that help it move easily on any surface.
And if you are a lover of customization, you just have to download il software Sound Blaster Connect. The program, extremely intuitive and constantly updated, not only allows you to update the firmware but also to adjust the DPI levels. The latter come among themselves stored within Siege M04, which allows hardcore gamers to carry the mouse around without having to worry about resetting it.
It's also possible with Sound Blaster Connect adjust the RGB lighting choosing between different modes and 16 million colors; an entire section dedicated to macro, but also the possibility of turn angle snapping on or off (which corrects the mouse trajectory to maintain a straight line in the movement) and di set the sensitivity of the lifting distance, which can reach 3 mm.
But how much is it?

But the price? It's actually pretty competitive - let's talk about 79,99 Euros for a peripheral that can give even the most famous competitors a hard time. In short, a bargain if you are looking for a new gaming mouse.
