From ColorOS 7.2 a ColorOS 11. An important leap for an important update. The new version of the operating system of Oppo, which takes up the numbering of Android and accompanies the arrival of the new Google OS, is designed to offer users a complete and personalized experience, without forgetting all those elements typical of the stock variant of Android.
ColorOS 11: what changes?
ColorOS 11 was born with the intent of adapt the smartphone interface to the user's tastes. That's why Oppo's new operating system provides a custom-made Always-On Display. In fact, you can create the most suitable screen for your smartphone use, but also change the colors of the theme, act on icons and fonts, choose the Dark Mode you like best (three available) and even create a custom ringtone by defining rhythm and instruments.
The software of the Chinese company, however, is not based solely on aesthetics. Among the new features we find the Three-Finger Translate di Google Lens, created in collaboration with Google and designed to quickly translate a text: all you have to do is take a screenshot using three fingers.
Also available Flex drop for multi-tasking management e Device Control, to manage connected devices without downloading new applications.
Oppo then also thinks about the battery, with the mode Super Power Saving Mode which allows users to select six applications to activate and use when the battery is low. Battery Guard instead it prevents damage resulting from prolonged charging by interrupting the flow of current during the night after reaching 80% and then resuming charging before the user wakes up.
There is also room for fluidity with UI First 2.0 which combines Oppo's engine for lag reduction with Quantum Animation. This increases the RAM usage but improves the response rate and frame rate.
AI App Preloading instead it learns from your habits to preload the applications you usually use and thus reduce the loading time while SuperTouch intelligently identifies user scenarios and optimizes touch response speed.
Finally, great attention to privacy. We are not only talking about the features of Android 11 but also about integration like Private System, which duplicates applications and data, or App Lock,to lock applications with passwords.
When it arrives?
ColorOS 11 will land between the end of the year and the beginning of 2021 on Find X2 series devices.
The other Oppo smartphones will also be updated later.
To have more precise data, however, we should wait for the next few months.
