Which files take up the most space on your smartphone? The Photos. We shoot in bursts. Just share them and we find them duplicated in the folders of the Gallery; then it often happens to find several versions despite the backups.
If you want to "clean" the photo gallery of your smartphone, the app Gallery Doctor solves the duplicate problem by automatically identifying unwanted photos and freeing up valuable space. What is interesting is that, after the first analysis, the diagnosis not only identifies duplicates (called "Similar photos") but also "bad photos": these, in particular, are the ones blurry, moved, taken by mistake, those framed too closely, those in which a particular background or color predominates. It is in the latter category that most false positives appear.
As for the similar photos, however, Gallery Doctor not only presents them by folder but also groups them by similarity, allowing you to make a close comparison and even indicates what he believes to be the best shot. When it comes to photos of people, get the smiles, the less crooked shots and the gazes directed at the camera with good precision.
With photos of landscapes or objects, the best shot, the uncut or crooked one, is right. Since no algorithm is perfect, the “Photos for review” section gives the user the possibility to manually delete the photos that the App considers dubious. If you intend to manage the photos taken with your smartphone in a rational way, Gallery Doctor will allow you to quickly get rid of the unnecessary duplicates that, out of (your) laziness, lie in the phone's memory.
