How to unlock Sandbox mode in Boneworks
Unlocking the sandbox in Boneworks is incredibly easy. From the main menu, start the very first level of the story. During the Force Entry tutorial where you have to throw items into the red bin or blue bin, throw everything into the blue “Archive” bin no matter where the game tells you to put it. Everything must end up in the blue trash can or the secret passage that you will find later will not open to you.
Once you have everything archived, place the battery in the socket and level up as normal. Browse the Tech Demonstration Museum after most of the tutorials. Keep doing this until you reach the room where the game teaches you about weights and heavy objects. Once you've placed something on the switch to open the door, exit the room into the hallway. If you see a sign with a tentacle in a cup, you're on the right track.
Continue down this hallway and keep your eyes on the left wall. There will be a slightly discolored sign with text next to it that reads "Archives Room Employees Only". Push through this wall to reveal a secret room. Keep in mind that this wall will only move if you threw everything in the blue bin earlier.
There is a Boneworks box in the back corner. Pick up something heavy, like the nearby hammer, and smash the box to reveal a module with a screen that reads "Sandbox Museum." Take this mod with you for the rest of the level until you come across the inventory tutorial area. There should be a drip tray here with the text "Collect Them All" floating above it. Launch the module and complete the level. A Boneworks box should appear in the main menu room. Open it to reveal the module and place it in the slot that says "Sandbox_MTD" on your right. Sandbox mode should now be playable from the menu.
