BLOODBORNE: PS5 SEQUEL, NEXT-GEN PATCH OR PC PORT? THE OMNIPOTENT INSIDER ANSWERS
Bloodborne is remembered by PlayStation 4 owners as one of the most memorable titles of the past video game generation, and there are many fans of the Lovecraftian soul game who yearn for a sequel on PlayStation 5, or at the very least a next-gen patch on Sony's flagship and a PC port.
Which of these projects is in the works at Sony studios? According to Omnipotent, a well-known insider who has been a particularly reliable source on Elden Ring and other FromSoftware productions, Sony has no plans to expand or update the Bloodborne IP.
The insider first pointed out that when Hidetaka Miyazaki said he would not return to Dark Souls after the release of the third installment of the trilogy, he implicitly included the name Bloodborne. A next-gen patch or PC port of Bloodborne is considered much more likely than a Bloodborne sequel, however, the insider, who is rumored to be aware of FromSoftware' s many projects for years (as was the case with Elden Ring, Sekiro, the Demon's Souls remake and other yet-to-be-announced games) has never heard of such a thing from his sources. In the past there was talk that Bloodborne 2 and a remake of the first chapter were being developed by Bluepoint Games, but at the moment we have no official information about it.
