On February 2, 2014, ten friends gather at a shelter located in the Blackwood Pines snowy mountains in the Alberta region of Canada to celebrate their annual winter getaway. During the celebrations, some of the friends (except Sam, Josh, Chris and Beth) decide to spend a joke on Hannah, who's romantically interested in Mike. Humiliated, Hannah runs out of the cabin, into the woods Snowy. Beth, her sister, goes out looking for her while the rest of them is in the cabin.
