How to enable island backup
REQUIREMENTS: Players must have a Nintendo Switch Online membership to use this service. You can register here.
- To enable island backup:
- hurry[[-]on the title screen to access the Settings menu.
- Select Island backup and Enable island backup to activate the function.
Once island save is enabled, your island will periodically be saved to the cloud. When not playing the Nintendo Switch is not in use, the save island feature will download your last island save. You can check the Settings menu to see when your island was last updated.
Remember that your island will only be downloaded if you have an active Nintendo Switch Online membership and are connected to the internet. If your subscription has expired, you will still be able to access the last backup uploaded to the service if you resubscribe at a later date.
How to restore island backup data
The island save function is only to restore your island data in the event of loss or failure of your Nintendo Switch.
When using a Nintendo Switch new / repaired, sign in to your Nintendo Online Account, and then launch Game. Make sure your game has been updated to version 1.4.0+ or more.
- As begins, here [[-] on the black screen where the Nintendo logo appears.
- If you hold the [[-] button, a message will appear asking if you want to check restore data.
- Select Start and Vérifier to find island backup data to restore. All the islands connected to your account will appear - select the island you want to restore, then select Recover data.
- Select Yes please to confirm your choice.
All current island data will be erased and replaced with the data for the island you selected. If you already have an island that you started, it will be lost. You will only get this feature on a fully patched version of - you will also need to be Nintendo Switch Online subscriber, and be connected to the internet.
