Part 2: How to Fix "The Program Has Been Stopped"
2.1 Open the app in safe mode
A first possible solution that solves this problem is the Safe mode. It is a feature that terminates any excessive background operation of the device. Since the important functions and default apps (eg Phone, Messages, Settings, etc ..) will be running on the device, you will find out in this way whether it is really a technical problem or not. This is the first solution that we recommend that you try when the app is suddenly shut down. there how to enable safe mode:
- First turn off your phone.
- Press the "Power" button until you see the logo on the screen
- Release the button and immediately press and hold the "Volume down" key
- Release the key once the device is in safe mode.
- Now the third party apps will be disabled and you can check if the app is still unresponsive or all is well.
2.2 Clear the app cache
The cache needs to be cleaned every now and then if you want any app to work properly. Due to constant usage, temporary files are collected and can cause problems if not deleted. So the other solution to try when the app presents the error "the program has been stopped" is to clear the cache. Here are the steps to take:
- Open "Settings" in your device and go to "Application" or "App".
- Now from the list of all applications, go to the app that has the problem and click
- Click "Storage" and choose "Clear cache".
