LG Electronics Italia has announced that the update to Android 10 is finally available for LG G8S ThinQ e LG V40 ThinQ. The company has once again confirmed its commitment to support its smartphones through the implementation of the latest generation software also on "older" devices.
Android 10 available on "older" LG devices
LG G8S ThinQ is the only smartphone equipped with a biometric system for secure authentication, able to recognize the venous reticulum of the user's hand using infrared rays. LG V40 ThinQ, on the other hand, was the first device to introduce functions dedicated to content creators like Cine Video, capable of applying professional-grade color grading to videos to give them cinematic quality.
Thanks to the update, these smartphones provide users with additional reliability and safety.
The most important element about the update is the new and renewed LG UX 9.0 interface. It guarantees the user a simpler and more intuitive use of the smartphone, in particular thanks to an improved organization of the menus and contextual options.
I menu and the options of the Address book and Gallery they are now more accessible as they have been moved to the bottom of the screen.

To conclude, among the most important innovations we find:
- Nuove gesture: will allow you to return to the Home screen, the previous one and the list of recent apps using simple gestures on the bottom navigation bar.
- Night mode: it will guarantee savings on battery consumption and will offer a better use of contents in the presence of low light.
- Modalità desktop: by connecting your smartphone to a monitor or TV with an HDMI adapter, you will be able to access apps using a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard, as if you were using a PC.
- Digital Wellbeing: a panel that will allow you to control the time spent using your smartphone, in order to manage its use with greater awareness.
- Camera interface: becomes simpler and more intuitive and allows you to use gestures to switch from one function to another.
- Pop-up Window: it is able to minimize the apps in order to better manage multitasking activities.
