Smartphones are constantly in our pockets and for this reason they are often used as emergency devices. On the iPhone it is in fact possible to make one SOS call in a completely automatic way, obviously after a very simple input from the user. So today we will see how to activate the emergency functions e also add favorite contacts to notify in case of problems.
Set up emergency functions on iPhone
All emergency preferences can be changed from the system settings, while to add emergency contacts, you will need to use the app "Health" and create a digital medical record. But let's go in order and start with the settings.
- Open the application "Settings" your iphone
- Continue with "Emergency SOS"
- Make sure the "Automatic call" is active
In this way, by clicking and holding down the buttons for a while power up and volume up, a 5-second countdown will start, at the end of which a sort of loud siren will start (to attract the attention of some passer-by or rescuers) and an automatic call to the emergency service (it may be necessary to specify which between 112, 118 and others).
By activating instead also "Call with the side key", the same operation will start once the iPhone power button has been clicked 5 times quickly and consecutively. If, on the other hand, you want to set up one or more contacts "Family members" emergency, in order to notify them automatically, just create a medical record.
- Open the app "Health" your iphone
- Click on your profile picture at the top right
- Continue with "Medical records"
- Add all the information in your possession and in particular i "Emergency contacts"
Those contacts will also appear on the lock screen, below "Emergency", bottom left and "Medical records" always at the bottom left.
