I spent the last few days in the company of Dyson Corrale, the hair straightener of the well-known English company. It is the third Dyson product to fall into the "hair care" category and, as usual, it is a concentrate of technologies designed to give a truly unique user experience. But how does all this translate into everyday life? What makes Corrale special? there 5 things I really liked about this hi-tech straightener.
1 - The design
Dyson products have stood out for years in two important aspects: technology and design. Let's start from the latter because, as you well know, the eye also wants its part. Corrale thus presents itself with a design that mixes wisely modernity and tradition. Its appearance is clean, futuristic and familiar, enriched with a touch of color fuchsia which allows it to immediately stand out from the competition.
To be interesting is also the choice of the shape with roundness designed to favor even more complex hairstyles in addition to the classic silky smooth effect. To deviate from the classicism we also find the weight: just over 500 grams that turn Dyson Corrale into the heaviest soleplate I've ever used. However, it is not a defect. On the contrary, its own weight helps you to have greater control during use.
2 - It does not need the thread
The 500 grams of the British plate are justified by another fundamental characteristic: Corrale is equipped with an internal four-cell lithium-ion battery which allows it to work without the power supply. In total you have approx 30 minutes of autonomy, more than enough to style any type of hair. To give you a realistic estimate: with my length I can use Dyson Corrale 3 times before having to reload it.
But how to reload? Inside the package we find a charger with magnetic wire which connects to the connector found on the bottom of Corrale. It is designed to easily release when necessary and resist involuntary tugging and obviously allows you to use the product even when the battery has already abandoned you.
The box also includes a stand che not only allows you to put the plate down when you are not using it but it also supports recharging of Corrale. This means you can connect the wall power supply to the stand, use the cordless coil and still continue to charge the battery during periods of inactivity. It will sound trivial but it really is a real convenience. Instead of placing it where it happens, you can count on a very stable support, so you don't have to worry about burning the wood, ruining the marble or cracking some tiles.

3 - It is simple to use
Let's now move on to the third element: ease of use. Dyson Corrale is not complex, it does not force you to read dozens of pages of instructions and it does not require any previous knowledge. To start using it you just have to open it using the small switch found on the central body, turn it on with the dedicated key and use the + and - keys to select the temperature. Three gradations provided: 165, 185 and 210. The first is designed for fine and treated hair, the second for normal hair and the last for frizzy and curly hair. My advice is to start with the lowest temperature to figure out which one best suits your hair.
You can check the status of Dyson Corrale thanks to the small integrated LED display. It not only shows you the selected temperature but also tells you where it is during the heating phase and indicates the battery charge level.
The English plate also provides a series of beeps that help you to understand when it has reached the desired temperature or that call your attention in case of use, so as to remind you to use it or turn it off. Of course, that doesn't mean it will keep playing for hours. After 10 minutes of inactivity it will automatically go to stand-by to preserve its autonomy.
4 - Hair care
For now we have talked about design, battery, display and operation but the technology? What's really hi-tech about this Dyson Corrale?
The British company has worked hard to ensure optimal heat management. This results in very fast heating times (only 30 seconds) and a continuous control system which checks the temperature 100 times per second to keep the selected alcohol content constant.
Dyson then developed a sheet in copper and manganese alloy mechanically machined with an accuracy of 65 microns e edged with tourmaline. In everyday life this has two important effects: on the one hand Corrale adapts to the hair to ensure uniform tension and prevent it from slipping outwards, on the other hand we reduce the unpleasant electrostatic effect.
All these optimizations and technologies allow the plate to use less heat and reduce hair damage by half.
5 - It is designed for travelers
It is certainly not the best time but in the future we will definitely return to travel. I, in particular, often travel, especially by plane and therefore I really appreciated the possibility of disconnect the battery simply by removing a small pin on the back of the central body. This allows you to carry Dyson Corrale in your hand luggage without any kind of problem, so you can use it on business trips or stays abroad. Included in the package then you also have the heat-resistant travel bag in which to wrap and transport it.
Dyson Corrale Opinions: The watchword is versatility
Corrale is the evident result of the experience gained by Dyson over the years. AND a product finished in every detail, where nothing is left to chance and everything is designed to allow the end user to have in their hands a very complete and easy to use product. What is striking, however, is its versatility: we can use the hair straightener to do different styling, we can also use it away from a power outlet, we can even take it on a trip or keep it in the bag for a quick on-the-go touch-up.
