We got our first glimpse of Baldur's Gate 3 during Pax East. Developers Larian Studios gave live stream attendees and viewers an in-depth look at the game, covering small details about the plot, combat, game mechanics, graphical changes, and how character selection works. . Divinity Fans: Original Sin 2 will love it. The game has an early access version coming to Stadia and PC ahead of the game's official release.
Unfortunately, at the moment we don't know the exact date Baldur's Gate 3 an early access version will arrive on these two platforms. However, we do know the planned period for 2020.
Following the end of the PAX East 2020 panel hosted by Stadia, featuring Larian Studios, a member of the audience asked Larian Studios founder Swen Vincke for further details. He had no more information but shared a handful of things the studio needed to do before releasing it. “We're going to put it into early access when the bugs, as you've seen, are all gone,” Vincke explained. “We are very curious to get feedback from the community, it is very important to us. We'll make sure there's enough content to keep you busy, we'll make sure you don't have all of the content, so you'll have plenty of content to read. "
The big thing Larian Studios is working on right now is putting the finishing touches on Baldur's Gate 3's overall build. He needs to fine-tune the game's little bugs, add character animations, reaction systems, and different mechanics that he still needs to complete. Vincke could not provide an exact figure on this information at this time.
We can probably expect Early Access to release a little after summer 2020, potentially fall 2020. As we have more information, we will update this guide to reflect it and provide details on the way everyone can play it. Baldur's Gate 3 is coming to PC and Google Stadia on an undisclosed release date.
